Finland ftw, forced learning of swedish should be abolished. If our government wants us to succeed why do they force us to learn swedish that is a small language when they can give our students a say what they learn, english should be mandatory tho but they should give alternative to swedish for example french/russian/german/italian/spanish... I speak finnish/english/and swedish in a sense that i got 5 in high school for swedish...

My grandparents from my father's side were from Finland, I would have finnish surname but my mother's side insisted we take my mother's surname. I cant speak finnish though, my grandparents were kinda shunned by rest of the family and really looked down on, bullied even. I miss them, they were very nice to me when they were allowed to see us grandchildren and they called me somewhat frequently, we spoke in english as their swedish was very broken. I like finnish people a lot and have been to Finland many times thanks to my work
