Ostrava. The city itself isn't that bad, but the people in it, that's a different story. Half of it are lazy ass gypsies and the other half are bunch of stupid wannabes. I'm staying here cuz I work here and live here with my gf, but we're saving some money so we can build a house in some nice village. I don't want to raise kids in this city shithole.

2020-09-21 13:33
Istanbul The city divides into two, areas that are complete beauty and areas that are complete shit. Shit-tier provinces are just there because of the workforce, all factories and mechanic shops are located there. Meanwhile, high-tier places usually have sight to Bosphorus(therefore expensive to live) and full of nice cafes and pubs. Some provinces are good and shit at the same time such as Fatih(where all historical stuff is in), Üsküdar(I live there) and Ataşehir. Weather is "a little bit of everything" except for snow so that's also alright.
2020-09-20 14:46
The rich always live in a part of Atasehir
2020-09-20 19:39
AND the poor. There are lots of shitty provinces near the highway(e5)that counts as Ataşehir.

Great town to party in but these days it's a hipster district with overpriced furniture stores and yoga pants parents. Love Kristiania tho, get baked and drink some expensive beer. Make Denmark broke again!
2020-09-21 14:07
If you go to Nørrebro and parts of Vesterbro, then it´s not Hipsterdistrict. But I live on Østerbro and you´re right - it´s hipster and the "spelt-segment" ... liberal intellectuals who only eat organic (modern) food and wears a supersafe Viking collar-helmet when cycling. Very expensive to live in Copenhagen I love Christiania too, though I don´t smoke or anything.

Have friends living in those areas and I'm gonna try it next time. Is Nørrebro the old industrial district btw? Cause that place was chill but tons of students. Copenhagen is great but if I see another short haired girl with a "fjällräven" backpack, I'm jumping off the bridge.
2020-09-21 17:02
Nørrebro had some industry and lots of small workers apartments, like Vesterbro. Indre Nørrebro is Nørrebrogade + its side streets, from "Søerne/The Lakes" to Nørrebro Station. In that area you find all the bars, restaurants etc, that has not been taken over by hipsters. Same goes for Istedgade on Vesterbro and it´s side streets. You find lots of prostitutes and junkies, but also the cheaper original places. "Kødbyen" has been turned into the hippest place in Copenhagen, with lots going on and great food. Lot´s of young people going there to party. Worth a visit after corona. Tbh I haven´t noticed a lot of short haired girls, and fjällräven goes back longer that hipsters. A small tip about the bicycling culture: Every girls/womans ass looks twice as good while she´s cycling. One of the main perks/distractions when cycling in Copenhagen. For that reason alone, you should try it. But as a swede you may know this already?

Paris, its good for travelling but its not too good for living imo
2020-09-20 20:46
What do you think about Parisians? Most frenchies I’ve met hate them and most people I know who’ve travelled there hate them more. I’m asking bcuz I’m gonna take a trip to France next yr and I’m wondering whether or not paris is better than going to somewhere else. My French is ok btw but I’m not entirely fluent yet (hopefully I will be by the time I go).
2020-09-21 04:21
I never lived in paris, only went there a couple of times so what i will say is just my view + the reports i gathered from people i know and on the internet. If you re visiting just to sight see for a couple of days, paris is beautiful (one of the most beautiful in the world in my eyes) and rich in history provided that you did some researches on the "no go zones" to avoid that makes paris a complet shithole overall imo, but usually the touristic parts are pretty safe, people that come with no plans can have a bad experience if they dont know where they go, wandering tourists are the perfect targets but you're from the us so i guess you're aware of that no disrespect. Another thing that makes tourists "hate" paris is that it can be pretty dirty (accentuated by the stereotype) even though most capitals are not that must better on that aspect(london,rome...) The "parisians are arrogant and cold people" from tourists usually comes from the fact that englando not great i guess, but if you make the effort to speak french, people will be mostly friendly, people always love when you show that you're interested in their culture if you can call a language being part of a culture. If you're visiting to sight see AND embrace french culture and history, i assume you're visiting for at least a couple of weeks and have the will to travel around the country, just like i said there is something to see at every corner and is completly different in each parts, brittany, mont saint michel in normandie, les chateaux de la loire, beaches in the south, corsica, mountains in the alpes, the german/french marriage in the east, teh countryside in the center and much more...(train is pretty cheap and will get you anywhere + trains are cool :) ) As for why frenchies hate parisians, i would say its because paris="arrogant" rich people or poor shithole no go zones, there is no middle class, or because of football rivaleries, im not sure, i dont really hate parisians myself.

For many tourists, parisiens are assholes and rude, for many parisiens, paris is the hell, and what makes Paris the hell? the tourists and overcrowd ( there are some things that tourists do that can be annoying for us...). Indeed, we got a lot of this kind of people here. Since you speak french you'll be fine, and, think outside of Paris, there are a lot of incredible cities here (Nantes, lyon, if u like medieval shit, strasbourg is a must go). Negativity aside, Paris is a beautiful city, and you can have a wonderful experience here :),

Kiev. City had no proper mayor since 1991. Roads have shitty tons of pits. After rain water doesn't go anywhere. Traffics are every day because roads are designed to have the amount of cars for the 1990s times. Nowadays cars are everywhere so sometimes you can't even walk properly. Beautiful centre and typical soviet looking everything else. City is awful for cyclists. There are almost no road lines for them. Also we have here a lot of homeless people, so you won't be missed if you just want to have a sit on some bench. You can live pretty decent if you have money. And have access to almost everything you want. Plus prices are low compared to the normal Europe.

Saint-petersburg 8/10 for me. If you live in St. Petersburg or Moscow, then your life is automatically better than that of the other 80% of Russians imo

new york city my area is quieter and nicer, life’s normal now but the blm riots in the heart of the city (manhattan) is cringe asf
2020-09-22 06:50
Beijing is nice ofc. You can do everything pretty much. Vancouver is also great. Amazing views, nice weather and a decent life style downtown. Toronto, I will find out next year when I transfer My home city, (Shi Jia Zhuang) is really boring imo.
