NiKo donates money to a children’s foundation
Portugal LADY_NINI
There are times that one must love twitter. Recently, NiKo and Thorin were involved in some public disagreements after being displeased with Thorin’s criticism of his role in FaZe. Some less friendly tweets were exchanged and Thorin remembered NiKo about one night in Atlanta where he left a $200 debt at the hotel, probably after-party expenses. NiKo offers to pay the bill in full, but Thorin suggests that the money could be donated to charity instead. 690$ were donated to Our Kids Foundation, a UK registered charity that helps children and young adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Moral of this story? Sometimes there’s drama, but after that comes a good redemption arc and happy kids. Source:

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
NiKo should have paid more. He was basically forced to pay this amount ofter Thorin and Lewis shaded him on a recent video; and he has chosen to minimize backlash to himself by paying these peanuts

We agree, but it's better than nothing.

Should an admin be commenting with opinion in posts? Seems like a clear pathway to disagreements with users which then leads to abuse of power. Perhaps leave your personal opinions out when representing an organization and using plurals (“we” -you represent when speaking only on your behalf.

Imagine caring whether an admin states an opinion.
2020-09-22 07:01
United States kami917
Imagine making a post/comment based on your own opinion while representing an organization and even using plurals as if speaking on behalf of the entire organization. Imagine your PM going up and saying something to the effect of “we believe you don’t need free speech, but you can speak freely on Sunday, it’s better than nothing.” So all of Australia thinks we don’t need free speech? See how that works? A professional doesn’t share their opinion when representing an organization because of the ramifications of what 1 personal opinion can do to an entire organization. Edit: after going through her comments she constantly uses “we” when commenting. So I guess LADY_NINI is the voice of . Good to know.

Yeah you got a good point. I just didn't think it was too serious

United States kami917
That’s how it starts but if she were to start handing out unwarranted bans then it would be a serious problem.
2020-09-22 15:25
She's delusional, I've noticed in a few of her replies. But if anything, it's unprofessional.
2020-09-22 12:07
I'm sure there's something I've missed, but in the Forum Admin/Moderator Job rules, it doesn't specify anything against sharing your opinion. And it's not like this current opinion is controversial either, although I understand your viewpoint.
2020-09-22 13:24
United States kami917
It’s not necessarily controversial but it is a passive attack on NiKo personally for not donating what she deems enough when he was under no real obligation to donate. He could’ve denied everything RL and thorin said and went on with his day. It’s just not fair that an admin has the power to ban you if you respond to a comment they make in a way they don’t like, that’s why they should refrain from commenting.
2020-09-22 15:24
If it was to comment to be alike regular users, then that would be fair enough. :) If it's a power-trip to unfairly moderate the forums, then that is not okay. I'm hoping regular communication with the moderation staff is the former, as technically users used to comment regularly with the admins all of the time way back in the day of 2005-2009, it was okay then.
2020-09-22 15:45
United States kami917
I’m sure very few step into a moderation position with unjustly wielding their power in mind, but I’m certain that some people will let that power get to them and it will create some form of god complex. Emotionally deprived individuals are especially vulnerable to this.
2020-09-22 15:50
Once again, I agree with you. :) I suppose all we can do is hope. For the record, LADY_NINI was kind when I last chatted to him/her.

Extremely unprofessional.
2020-09-22 15:24
imagine thinking hltv admins/mods are professional hahahhaha they make up ban reasons whenever they want and you think they are professional?
2020-09-22 17:09
A well made point. I also never noticed this either: "Edit: after going through her comments she constantly uses “we” when commenting. So I guess LADY_NINI is the voice of . Good to know." Personally I love interacting with the user and I will treat him/her no different to any other user, official or not. :)
2020-09-22 14:01
United States kami917
If equal treatment was guaranteed then i would not mind, but in this case it’s certainly not. We’re all just a few clicks away from being banned, especially if a admin/mod deems it morally right on their part. That’s the underlying issue with admins commenting because we are essentially powerless in this domain against them.
2020-09-22 15:21
I can see the point you are making and I'm hoping that is not the case here. That would be awfully unfair of HLTV to do.

people banning for just saying xD or ok what a great reason
2020-09-22 15:31
Context is greatly needed here...
2020-09-22 15:35
what context how can u ban for a week some one typing xD
2020-09-22 15:38
Technically all bans are made because people are typing, that is the very way we communicate to others on this forum. "people banning for just saying xD or ok" This needs context.
2020-09-22 15:40
so we cant type xD no matter what this site becaming too much leftie
2020-09-22 15:44
"so we cant type xD no matter what" No, I never stated that... I mean just posting that like a credible ban reason is folly, it needs necessary context for a ban. For example: It may have been in reply to an incredibly offensive post, etc... "this site becaming too much leftie" I respect your opinion.
2020-09-22 15:47
xD and offensive post pick one
2020-09-22 15:47
I don't need to pick one? How are you still not reading my posts properly, friend? It's like the witch-hunting all over again...

Not all the time. Also context would be greatly appreciated while getting banned. I got banned on my main and wrote a really long e-mail to hltv staff about the ban, asking for an explanation and defending all of my recent comments and posts. I never got an answer. I tried to be as respectful as I could be in the post, trying to look at things from both points of view, but I got 10 years banned and I still have no idea why.
2020-09-22 16:07
That makes me angry... I feel the need to apologise even though it would be entirely unnecessary. You can understand my response, surely... Bans for lackluster reasons like that don't usually happen and there should always be a reason for them. My best assumption is the banning-admin simply had forgotten as to why you were banned. I've been banned myself twice, both were a fortnight and both were in 2016. I was told by ex-adin "BATISTUTA9" that it was for offensive behaviour, which I can only attribute to the anti-witch-hunting escapades of old. My behaviour back then was less than satisfactory and I'll admit that wholeheartedly - I haven't had a ban since 2016 and I hope to continue that trend. I seriously hope you find the answer you're looking for or you won't be banned in the future, friend. :)
2020-09-22 16:14
So u are correcting me U banned unnecesarilly I never saw u posting a bad thing or swearing They can even ban you so think about that way
2020-09-23 17:37
What I stated to you still remains factual in the technical sense, it's just a shame in some cases (if they are to be believed), that is not the case. Realistically nobody gets banned for no reason whatsoever, that isn't how forums work at all. In the case of the user from post #201, the ban reason remained illusive and unconfirmed but not without reason at all. I haven't been banned since 2016 as far as I'm aware, so my behaviour back then must've been lackluster and I never once blamed the admins for the ban, I accepted I was in the wrong and moved on. Most people assume their ban is always without merit, yet it can still be deemed as unreasonable.

2020-09-21 22:51
So what? What an unfitting answer honestly. Its just disgusting to point ur finger at him, while u most likely never spent just a € for charity
2020-09-21 23:01
i pay taxes in your country, so I do pay a lot of charity
2020-09-21 23:04
Guess what, niko pays taxes as well, and not too little
2020-09-21 23:08
Guess what by the way: NiKo drank the fucking 690$ and even more if the story is true Thorin and RLewis donated this money, it was theirs in the first place. And all of you say NiKo is such a class act person, ROFL. Thats the entire point why I say that this was a failed PR stunt. NiKo drank 600$ worth of booze Someone else paid it; NiKo never repaid NiKo wanted to settle on Paypal only when it became public The others told him to donate instead NiKo donates just the amount that is owed "NiKo is such a kind perosn! NiKo so generous, so classy"

the mouz team drank it with him, saying like NiKo drank all $600 booze is overstating it.
2020-09-22 15:13
the bill was supposed to be around 2000$ though
2020-09-22 15:17
It is simple. Im not praising him anywhere, as i said multiple times is just disgusting to critisize him for giving not enough while he didnt had to donate anything in the first place. Its not important either who he is or how much he drank at a party. He donated, and some children hopefully get a happy day or so out of it. All ure spreading is negativity while u think to be somewhat special because u pay taxes, pathetic
2020-09-22 15:57
you are pathetic, if those are your moral standards
2020-09-22 16:14
So i have low "moral standarts" because i think its not up to you to decide how much a person has to donate voluntarily, unbelievable
2020-09-22 16:54
Nah its more like either of these: 1) You somehow think it is "voluntary" to return money that you owe, especially after it becomes public knowledge that you owe money 2) You show up at a discussion without knowing all the available facts but with an incredibly pre-determined opinion and instantly fire personal shots at me
2020-09-22 17:41
1) He didnt owe money to the org he donated to. If this is not, even tho it is, a donation to charity in your opinion, it is still not up to you to demand more or condemn him for not donating more. 2) The only relevant fact for my post was your post, so yes, i know everything i need to know to tell you my opinion on this ridiculous reaction of yours; you were rather pre-determined without knowing all facts as he probably donates more nonpublic, while you still didnt give a cent outside of your holy sacrifice in form of taxes
2020-09-22 18:07
man he owed money to thoorin and rlewis and if this were HIS donation that means he still OWES money and never paid it back. But as a matter of fact, he was going to pay them back on paypal and they told him to donate THEIR money instead also, he "probably donates more nonpublic". I can't even ... xD Like he was literally on that site, entered all the billing info and didnt add a dime of his own, but yeah all indications pointing in that direction that NiKo is a saint donor
2020-09-22 18:19
man are u srsly that stupid?? Im aware of all of that but it literally changes nothing about what im trying to tell you for 20 hours now. Charity is not about demanding. if he decides to not give anything at all it is his decision as well. there are barely any pros involved in charity from what we know and yet you dont bark around in this cringy hypocritic way
2020-09-22 18:23

2020-09-21 22:49
I do not know, but this is a matter of professional PR incident of a person earning 7 figures in a couple of years. He should have handled it better, which in this cases would have included giving more money PUBLICLY, money which is still peanuts to him. Also, there is no basis whatsoever to assume that he donates to charity regularly, but yeah sure, whatever, just imply it, as if it is probable :D

2020-09-22 11:57
Have you seen the video excerpt of Thoorin and RLewis that prompted this donation of NiKo? One big point being made was that he took it for granted that others would pay his 200$ or 1000$ bill, while those people have grown up in a place and during a time of esports where that was A LOT of money. He could have shown respect or remorse by donating an amount that actually felt like a loss to him. Like these people made it clear that that was the moeny the would earn in a couple of weeks. How much do you think NiKO earns in a couple of weeks? But I agree with you, that as long as you do not care or feel bad about what happend and just pay the money to make people shut up, the situation is a lose lose.

2020-09-24 02:14
The way I see it, the actions of a kid far from home and drunk should not be held against him. He did something messed up while drunk. He said somethings, it happens lmao. The fact that Thorin and RL used this opportunity to try and elevate themselves to higher ground morally in a petty argument is kinda fucked. Yeah yeah, I know thorin said Niko made it personal by saying that thorin does not deserve to talk to his about the topic. However, I counter by saying that Thorin is taking it too personally. Niko says "on this" meaning that he does not think Thorin is unworthy of him, but just not the right person to speak to him on this topic since he incited/put gas to the fire the topic. Also edit: How much does Niko have to donate to "prove" he is a good person? That isn't up to any of you guys to decide nor does it have anything to do with the amount he donated.

2020-09-22 12:10
Should have donated 694,20 for the ultimate danks
2020-09-22 09:30
It wasnt just Niko that couldnt pay it was actually the whole old mouz squad if im not mistaking.
2020-09-22 09:32
Yes you're right. But since the other members of that mouse squad wouldn't generate this much clout, thorin and cuckard decided to make NiKo the sole point of attention
2020-09-22 09:43
I mean thorin hates Niko since he joined Faze so u cant really expect that much from him. I like how He isnt scared to say what he thinks but sometimes its too much and he is just annoying. But i guess you just need to get used to him being an ashole since he wont change.
2020-09-22 11:08
The others player probably pay it back without to wait that Thorin ask him for that money. That is what normal adults do. It is not wrong to ask for money if you can't pay it at that time but to forget it is really weak.
2020-09-22 11:50
If they did pay it back why would they ask 600$ again from NiKo ? As far as I know that was the cost of the full tab. How would they know how much each of them drunk ? If they decided to split it between 5 of them and pay around 150$ each to thorin and richard there is no reason for NiKo to say no to it.And if he did say no than why not just ask for the ammount niko owes you ? So no , it was never on NiKo to pay the whole tab since he couldn't drink 600$ worth of alcholol by himself as a 20yo without finnishing it off with a trip to the nearest hospital. It's obvious 2 of them never cared and just waited for the right opportunity to strike with this.
2020-09-22 13:13
You just wrote everything i wanted to say, he probably doesent know alot about that story so he is talking smack. Noone of the moz squad paid but they blame niko because he has the clout.
2020-09-22 13:18
Aha Niko bye
2020-09-22 13:19
maybe Niko drunk the majority of the alcohol?? That other players were there doesn't mean they invest the money on drinking. Sth you could do anytime in Germany for 20€. I would not spend hundreds of $$$ to make a ordinary drink evening and I can easy assume that some mouz players saw it the same way.
2020-09-22 13:19
600$ worth of alchohol. I doubt he could have had more than 300$ worth and that's a lot by it self. For them to ask the whole price from NiKo means that none of the mouz guys gave any money to lewis and thorin. And no , there was no way NiKo was able to drink more than 300$ worth without blacking out.
2020-09-22 13:30
Man he make millions just play games. $690? LOL
2020-09-22 09:40
1% monlty salary donation, sick
2020-09-22 11:37
bruh atleast he did. appreciate it
2020-09-22 11:54
Like he has to donate if he doesn't want to
2020-09-22 12:14
Get off your high horse and stop virtue signalling
2020-09-22 14:28
I think you need to look up what "virtue signalling" means. And you also need to look up what "Get off your high horse" is a metaphor for.
2020-09-22 15:21
I said that because you act like you are better than him. ''1% monlty salary donation, sick'' is obviously a comment that mocks the amout of money he gave to the charity. I think those words fit perfectly for your character.
2020-09-22 16:12
Actually if you check again you might notice that I not once referenced myself in my comment. I have in all my life not donated half of that money for that matter. So i fail to see how i am "virtue signalling" without mentioning myself or any of my actions in any way.
2020-09-22 19:25
This thread, comments, the post, everything feels like its from reddit lol
2020-09-22 11:37
That's true. And as retardittos they didn't even give a single dollor on charity yet they are judging other people.
2020-09-22 13:36
+1 Yea I cannot believe people are complaining about this. Its so unbelievable to me
2020-09-22 14:29
ikr lol
2020-09-22 14:41

2020-09-22 11:47
ahh now we know why thorin was turning cs go community against niko
2020-09-22 11:57
Senegal m0rkTFH
Well, i dont know how much money NiKo has, but 690$ is a very poor donation.
2020-09-22 12:01
How much have you donated?
2020-09-22 12:38

I donate a set amount to 5 different charities every month. But i don't see the relevance in that, and a guy owning a money to people for trying to scam his way out of his bar tab, getting called out publicly and basicly forced to pay WHAT HE OWNED to charity. It's really Thorin and Lewis that are donating to charity.
2020-09-22 13:23
Yeah charities to twitch camgirlz AXAXAXAXA He still donated so who cares. Stop behaving like an redditor

interesting read
2020-09-22 12:37
69.000$ was the correct call
2020-09-22 12:53
Any summary what happened between Niko/Lewis/Thorin?
2020-09-22 12:55
Niko wasnt able to pay a huge bill in a hotel bar at the eleague event. lewis thorin and others had to pay to safe eleague reputation, although they werent part of the binge. niko said something like "fu im vip richard/eleague should pay my bill" niko never gave back the money niko was very toxic to thorin thorin said niko should spend the money to charity and he didnt for a long time until thorin called him out!
2020-09-22 13:18
a lot of what u wrote is just bs and has no source but okay
2020-09-22 13:38
kkkkkk watch lewis+thorin stream fanboi
2020-09-22 13:40
haha funny how u always need to call out someone to do shit. i mostly feel shit when i just own a friend 10-20€
2020-09-22 13:07
are u kidding HDSIAJDAJSDOAS CSGO PLAYER DONATE 700 DOLLL.. this son of a bitch gets 30k months and donates 700
2020-09-22 14:21
and you get to decide what constitutes a good amount for donating because?
2020-09-22 15:11
Its about the principle you dont say someone isnt worth your time when you owe him money for example... also if he wanted to donate probably should have done it before throin and rlewis shared how he owed the money. Also giving bare minimum when you make as much as he does doesnt really look good. Maybe he donates out of his pocket every month but doesnt make it public maybe he didnt have time for it and its just unfortunate timing but given how much drama is arround niko right now this looks like PR move and nothing more
2020-09-22 16:25
Tbh im not the kinda person who cares how much or why a rich person donates. In the end all they get is PR, whilst some African kid gets a living, whilst if he doesn't do it then that African kid may not.
2020-09-22 16:39
But he didnt donate because he cares (thats how it looks like)
2020-09-22 16:40
Thats my point, i couldnt care less WHY he donated, its the fact he DID donate which counts. At the end of the day some charity is 690$ richer and that's what matters.
2020-09-22 17:53
If you donate because it makes you look good its still good thing but it loses its value in my eyes.
2020-09-22 17:55
hes a good guy
2020-09-22 14:21
United States PP_Bizon
he only did it to save his ass, had he done it right after thorin replied telling him to donate it to a charity I'd say it was more because he actually wanted to, however he only did it AFTER rlewis & thorin made a BTN segment of 30 minutes telling people what happened at the bar. Only then did niko decide to actually donate, shows he did it to avoid shit rather than because he wanted to imo.
2020-09-22 14:24
guy makes high 6 digits a year and donates 600€ LUL
2020-09-22 14:40
he donates 690$ and u are crying. did u ever do something like this? i don't think so. stop crying hltv silvers and life ur live. its niko's money and he will donate how much as HE want, not you. start thinking, thanks))
2020-09-22 15:21
If thoorin wouldnt expose him niko wouldnt do shit , shit human
2020-09-22 15:29
Now donate that money to FaZe after ruining their players many times over
2020-09-22 15:36

Turkey TheKaiser
Whatever anybody says, that is a nice move from NiKo.
2020-09-22 19:27
so many retards here saying he should've donated more lmao, actually disgusting seeing some of these comments, i bet more than half of these people havent donated more than 5 bucks
2020-09-22 19:32
doesnt matter if people here have donated money or not lol, 690 is nothing considering what he did that night, his behavior and attitude and only paid or tried to pay thorin after he was publicly shamed.
2020-09-23 07:40
+1 he just donated because he got called out by thorin
2020-09-23 13:10
+1 very true
2020-09-23 19:01
ehm the bill was 2000, the hotell halfed it and several people took the bill for him :)
2020-09-22 19:34
with the context of everything that happened and why he owed money in the first place, his behavior and the fact he told RL to pay the entire bill... $690 is nothing. He literally gets paid like $25k a month lmao
2020-09-23 07:38
69 LMFAOOOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2020-09-23 19:02
