cadiaN's message to oBo
Portugal LADY_NINI
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that players are human, and they are kids. They spend a lot of time away from home. Being a kid is hard, now, imagine a kid in these circumstances. cadiaN has given us a show of empathy on oBo’s situation. Source: twitter.com/caspercadiaN/status/13084762..

Doesn't stop the fact he handled it poorly - he could have completed the dreamhack tournament and gone home a week later - he left his team high and dry for his own selfishness. Expected from US tbh. I would say it's individualistic to a fault and shows the lack of empathy to his own organisation and teammates who have taken steps for him to feel at home.

yes. poor move.

+1 i get why he wants to go home, its reasonable. but this organisation has done so much for him, jason lake was almost crying in the stream he gave yesterday. just going so abruptly is very childish behaviour IMO

Childish from a child expected

he's 17 years old. he's not 6 anymore. yes he's not a full grown adult but with 17 its time to think a little bit about your future and face the fact that shit you do now might have consequences not only for you but also for people that depend on you (in this case complexity)
2020-09-23 12:30
I take it you're a minor? A 17 year old is definitely a kid
2020-09-23 12:34
as i said with 17 you should be old enough to think about the consequences of your behaviour. if you can work in a professional environment and get paid like a professional you should act professional. i get why he wants to go home, it surely is not easy. but 2 weeks more (hell even three days more so coL has more time to get a stand in for the foreseeable future) would not have killed him.
2020-09-23 12:38
Did you play with toys at 17? Did your parents hold your hands when crossing the streets at 17? In some states of the US you're even allowed to get a full unrestricted driving license at 17.

Not all American's are selfish just because a displayed example of one American was selfish. Otherwise I agree with you about the rest.

He destroyed team and his own career, no one will want such a guy in team. He should be fined

Please use sauce instead of source, we will love you for that

I respect his decision more than some other pro's that do nothing to help their situation except cry on twitter, woulda been nice if he could not dodge EPL and DH but I guess he had his reasons.

2020-09-23 12:30
Well obv 17 is old if you are 14 but for the rest of us, a 17 year old is a kid
2020-09-23 12:35
im the same age as obo i don't think u can use your age as a excuse when you are almost 18..
2020-09-23 12:44
Exactly. You think you understand shit because that is how teenagers work.

Not that kid to just get away with a move as disgusting as that. It was the worst decision he could take. It's not like he was tortured there in their labs like a rat and was biding his time to escape, he was given all the best he could wish for, a caring daddy and everything at hand. He just pushed them all under the train. Apparently he was smart enough to sign for the team but when he owns them like that he's still a little kid.

Not really a kid, but I get your point. The older you are the higher age for you is "kid"
2020-09-24 10:20
He acted like a poor kiddo. coL just peak at #5 and they were playing quals and 1 week later epl playsoff and he just goes to airport by himself and call the team that he leave ? Wtf so stupid
2020-09-23 12:34
so wise words from mr cadiaN
2020-09-23 12:38
"being a kid is hard" no its not.. and he's almost 18, im the same age as him i wouldn't expect people to treat me this much different lmao.
2020-09-23 12:43
He's months away from not being a kid. He butt fu*kd his team by leaving before event lol and he wants to travel during a goddamn pandemic and risk his parents/family etc

2020-09-23 12:53
i feel so bad for jason lake. oBo was their 2nd best player and now they only have like 70% of the raw firepower left on the team. They are gonna have to find someone really good to replace him
2020-09-23 13:09
Yep coL were in a difficult spot to qualify for the major and now it's so much more difficult. I wonder if they get a player who has some RtR points?
2020-09-23 14:40
unfortunately thats not how it works. Players dont keep their rmr points when switching teams

2020-09-23 13:14
uhhh... why didn't he just dm obo instead?
2020-09-23 14:44
oBo is a kid and if I was coL I would give him a fine. He literally broke his contract.
2020-09-23 18:22
that was a well written message, gj cadian
