LOL is straight trash
2020-09-25 11:21
i arent think lol is straight
2020-09-25 11:22
I really liked it before and used to play soloQ. Nowadays there is too many "pretty similar" champs. They just toss the coin and make combination out of dash, melee/ranged, heal, mana/energy + some cc and vola we have new champ. RITO also added some pretty stupid stuff (like the jungle "fruits") which needlessly added some confusion in the game. what is lacking is maybe community for assholes like me (like hltv) where people could flame and troll each other in peace. might be that rito is aiming lol to younger people too so that is why they are not really encouraging the growth of these kinds of slightly more toxic environments. the toxicity in-game itself is pretty much same, not so much russians thought and no voip (atleast when i played). As esports I think in LoL there is more things to take into account which makes some things harder to see (e.g. counterbuilds and abilities), but the phase is much slower, which makes it easier to see big picture where things are going. Counter Strike is more about very fast decisions. Globally it is watched MUCH more than CS and I like watching big games like I do like watching CS.
2020-09-25 11:46
+1 thank you for leaving an elaborate comment about your perspective. Interesting (not being sarcastic) I realized how trash LOL was when I started playing DOTA
2020-09-25 11:58
first i played both a bit, but at the time many friends preferred lol so i went with them. its less complex so for casual gaming i think lol is better. but then again my opinion is now biased cos ive played it much more than dota. nowadays I watch big events on both, partly because finnish players triumph in TI. I never really understood the rivarly between the two, ofc both are descentants of dota1. one is visually a cartoon and one tries to be more "serious" both with visuals and mechanics. maybe it is because people have invested their personal time on one game and they are afraid that the time wasted becomes irrelevant if some other game takes over in popularity. but this is subjective feeling, making the big level rivarly pointless. what ive experienced in dota is that the mechanics seem to be better, without some lol bs, but the casuality in lol actually makes it more fun when played only occasionally. On my last lol year we only played ARAM mode with my friends. TL;DR; DOTA if you want to compete hard and challenge your wits LoL casual gaming BOTH good esports
2020-09-25 12:17
Dota 2 is not really a descendant of Dota 1. It is still the original MOBA that was a Warcraft 3 mod that has been updated for years. Many Dota 2 champs were in Dota 1. LOL is an arcade ripoff version of Dota. Hence the name: "Defense of the Ancients." the main objective is to defend the towers: the fights between the heroes/champions is secondary to the towers. DOTA still has this feel. LOL doesn't
2020-09-25 13:14
yes you are right, they are not , my "descentants" was pointed to that original developers of both lol and dota (and HoN) were all somehow involved in Dota. dota 2 is more official sequel than the others (inherited the name and lore?) to but in some sense all are offspring of dota 1. Dota 1 ran with wc3 engine, dota2 was originally just Valve's modernisation to Dota and make it run on Valve's Source engine and in LoL the idea was to run MOBA with engine made for completely for MOBA. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Same persons were involved in many of them (like IceFrog and Guinsoo).

Yeah people all around the world are watching. Franchise leagues are great idea, because u have like 4 EU tournaments in a year and 2 international per year. Thats why people like it because it didnt become boring. In csgo u have like 2-3 bigger events per month and how long can u watch them?
2020-09-25 11:28
Like Cod league?

Idk how cod league works because i dont watch it
2020-09-25 11:33
cod league and city-based concept which activision tries to push is trash and cannot be compared to lol franchise leagues
2020-09-25 12:06
"Franchise leagues are great idea" I disagree. I mean you may like the concept of Worlds but Franchise League in general is pretty bad & potentially unsustainable.
2020-09-25 12:10
+1 and it is really confusing that some big teams are invited and some not... u dont even know that is the winner team now in good shape or did the other good teams not get invited or did they fail to qualify or what...
2020-09-25 12:24
I agree same I started playing in march and cs feels so cheap compared to lol esports now and the game is so much fun

I mean i hate lol community for being even more toxic than csgo community but it happens in almost every game.

yea the game is fun but community is the worst

2020-09-25 12:12
From a betting pov - team compositions are CRUCIAL - games can be won or lost based on that - i.e. neosurf lost 3rd map even when ahead by like 3k gold because their team comp sucked against the opponent. knowing the players and teams rankings for last 2 years and how they like to play - knowing which regions are stronger (Korea, EU, China, na - in that order) and understanding the mechanics of the game and how it "flows"
2020-09-25 11:26
this is what you need to know: 1. it's the most watched esport event in the world 2. they're on LAN because Riot is better than Valve who cancelled the major like pussies 3. China Korea Europe(in order) are the best regions, China have won the last 2 worlds and EU have been finalists. 4. There are 4 chinese teams, 4 European, 3 Korean, 3 NA + some more random teams from wildcard regions such as Brazil/Russia/Taiwan etc etc but they are not very giid. 5. NA is very bad as a region and have never done well internationally. Their teams consist of 50% imports from EU+Korea 6. it's currently in the play-in stage and does not feature a lot of exciting teams except for MAD(EU 4th) and TL(NA 3rd) and LGD (China 4th) 7. Main event group stage begins on 3rd of October

I liked LoL at the beginning but i tilted too much when i saw that my mates feed the enemy team 24/7.
2020-09-25 11:37
If you can play premade it can be fun, but its too toxic to play solo. Anyway if you are high enough level to understand esports its really fun to watch for me. Especially worlds since its the most prestige tournament.
2020-09-25 11:40
i played only few games and i still think that lol esports is exciting to watch
2020-09-25 12:10
It definitely is, but i think its nice to understand everything going on.

2020-09-25 12:09
I don't watch the tournaments just play a few games, preferably with some friends.
2020-09-25 12:09
I would of liked LoL if it didnt have such childish graphics and weeebo champs Dota>lol. It aint competition rly
2020-09-25 12:11
League is like 15 times bigger than Dota2, so u right there is no competition
2020-09-25 12:36
Obviously you cant argument your retarded opinion so im gonna act as dumb ad you.. Minecraft has 3 times the playerbase of LoL so therefore MC is 3 times better game
2020-09-25 12:42
I did not state my opinion but a fact. League is tremendously more popular than Dota2. If you think that Dota2 is a better game then that's your subjective opinion which is fine, but you're in the very vast minority. And MC is not more popular than League despite being a chill building simulator multi-platformer for children. Another objective fact is that Dota2's playerbase is in decline and it's esports scene is dying! But League is flourishing on all fronts.
2020-09-25 12:49
Oh yeah. ~half bilion concurent players is "not more popular" than League's~150M. How convenient =) Point still stands. Popularity =/= quality. League is better only in the following parts: - Riot is actually handling (somewhat) toxicity - Riot is promoting their game. - Better support for tier2/2+ scenes - Obviously way better politics. In terms of pure gameplay, depth of the game , skill and complexity and of course The International - League cant even come close to dota. The things I listed are also the reason why its the greatest game by far but also the reason why it wouldnt reach LoL or MC numbers. Simply the game is not made for casual 12 year olds/ gamers.
2020-09-25 15:33
Lol delusion at it's finest. Your game will stay awful and small
2020-09-25 15:38
im not gona proceed to bully a 12yo
2020-09-25 16:06
The grpahics aren't childish, the champions brought out lately are though. Very disney like :/
2020-09-25 13:05
Bubble system just read about it on lolesports
2020-09-25 12:11
hated everything about league and said to myself it was a game for nerds, but when you try it out and get into the game, its really good, it requires so much skill and knowledge to be good at.
2020-09-25 12:14
I don't really play the game but I understand how the game works and it is kind of entertaining to watch compared to DOTA, but it is still nowhere near to CSGO in my opinion. From the hype of the league, we can Riot is so much better than DOTA in commercializing their game
2020-09-25 12:15
I respect your opinion but you basically don't understand shit my man
2020-09-25 12:22
You can be sensitive/mad when people say Riot > Valve but it is a fact. Look at Worlds, how much they achieve, even without an insane prize pool
2020-09-25 15:40
I literally said Riot> Valve Dota> Lol tho
2020-09-25 16:05
10 years ago, DOTA >>> LOL but now LOL is slightly better than DOTA
2020-09-25 16:07
Elaborate. Dont come up with the player count thingy tho. I'll gladly listen
2020-09-25 16:56
It is just my thought, it might not be right. DOTA throughout the years introduce agha upgrade for every hero, talent tree, neutral items, individual courier, and some other stuffs but none of these really changes how teams approach the game and how players play the game I haven't watched and played a lot of LOL to comment about the changes at League so I might not be the best to say this but I would say Riot brings in new stuff that affects how pros approach and how players play the game (soul, buffing the Elder) It is just my feeling after all, so it might be wrong and does not makes sense to you. Cheers.

I never played lol, I just like to watch the world chapionship, there's a lot of hype around it every year.
2020-09-25 13:13
I see people referencing that LOL esports is hype or something, the game really doesn't have that much action going on in a pro game, as mostly the team getting the advantage early will roll the opposition. The laning phase is also boring as hell. And if you're a new viewer, which I'm not, how the fuck can you ever tell what's going on in a teamfight, nevermind which team is winning? It's impossible. It's a fun casual game for me but I will never watch the esports side of it because I don't see anything worth watching in it.
2020-09-25 13:38
In csgo forumas talk abaut other game? Need ban all riot kids from there go to riot forums and speak
2020-09-25 14:00
they click QWER DF and RMB and champions go brr
2020-09-25 15:35
I kinda know how the game works and I used to watch to big games before. But my knowledge is too limited to actually grasp how good a play was. I feel like you need to know the champions they're playing and their skills, how they counter each other and also know the meta to actually watch a game and fully understand.
