astralis didnt play that many online games so i doubt it
2020-09-28 11:06
even if zonic cheated VALVe will most likely cover it up... cuz like 4 major winner using bugs to win?
2020-09-28 18:31
k really great input who cares
2020-09-28 18:55
Astralis pretty much never played online before Road To Rio. Zonic literally couldn't use it even if he wanted.

Link me to some proof and I'll believe you. Definition of proof: Indisputable 100% proof that he was cheating and didn't just get a lucky spray or accidentally aiming at someone through a wall. I don't want fishy clips. But link me to some proof that proves that it's "very true" that flusha cheated.
2020-09-28 10:54
First you prove that he didn't cheat.

That's not how cheating works. If we went off the principle "guilty until proven innocent" we would have hundreds of careers ruined in the sport. It's physically impossible to rule out cheating both on LAN or online. It's 100% possible that markeloff, Hiko, flusha, Subroza or whoever else has cheated at some point. But instead of blindly ruining the careers of these people off a few fishy clips, the bans need to be justified off the principle of "innocent until proven guilty". In this case proof would be finding illegal software on their PCs, them being issues a CS:GO VAC ban, etc. Link me to that proof.

+1 It is something that cannot be proven and therefore remains an opinion as a result. Context is important when viewing clips but that is pretty much the only objectivity involved.

I wouldn't expect one, to be honest with you. Like I stated in our PM's, it's rare people generally treat cheating accusations as they are supposed to be treated, which is why we often reply in kind like post #27 but there is never a reply back. All we can is respect other peoples opinions and explain clips, if necessary. "Denying the existence of cheats altogether is just as foolhardy as claiming everybody is cheating." EDIT: Added "of" in the addendum. ^^

Exactly. Objectively, cheating is always a possibility. Subjectively, one can believe cheating hardly exists or that it's common everywhere. But it's important to make the distinction. Serious allegations and any punishments need to be treated objectively. Any wild speculation is subjective, but it's important to make the distinction.

Could not agree more. Which is why witch-hunting is not the way to accuse somebody of cheating, as clips are open to interpretation based off of the person in question; but it's objectifiable an accusation according to witch-hunting.
2020-09-28 23:28
In Japan, the law system may work this way but in Europe, if you accuse someone you have to prove it.
2020-09-28 11:21

+1 Didn't know either, untill HLTV got lit this morning. But like I reacted on someone else (br) there shouldnt be exceptions. Used is used. No matter what. Because that will only divide the scene... It's sad tho.

There seem to be some false positivies, like RobbaN claims he encountered it once and because he didn't know what it was, he thought it could be a bug with the Faceit AC or such so he muted his mic and didn't speak to his team for the full map. They lost the map 1-16 so to me this checks out. Next map it was fixed. The next day he got the bug again and he contacted the admin and disclosed everything about the bug, and he's appearently got screenshots to prove that. I mean, if his own story is to be believed he shouldn't be banned. But there's no real proof to what he's saying, since I doubt there are TS records from back then and even if there were, there's nothing to prove that he wasn't talking to them outside of TS, such as being in the same room. I don't think any of these false positives could be unbanned without proper proof, but I think we should still acknowledge that there might be a few times when the ban isn't fully justified.

Personally, I'm behind RobbaN on this. I played with him in 1.6 and he isn't a liar, at least to my knowledge anyway... I think the way he went about it was wrong (could've called a tech-pause or simply exited the server entirely) but overall I think the ban is undeserved and further investigation is necessary. All coaches guilty of abusing and utilising the bug for personal gain deserve to be banned; as that is cheating. However those coaches who did not do not deserve to be banned, as there are many cases like RobbaN.

Yeah. I hope there's a way to prove his innocence. In the case for lmbt, the story he presents seems to have video evidence to support his claims. Hopefully that's where we can start to see some justice.

2020-09-28 11:26
read the HLTV report, they wrote 1 that means 1 time or 1 round
2020-09-28 11:49
I did and you are correct, BUT 1 time can mean 1 round or 30+ rounds. Your statement is based on your interpretation of their article and not a factual one. We simply don't know the extend or what they mean by 'used (x) times'. I acknowledge the difference between abusing the bug for 1 round vs 30 rounds, but even 1 round should definitely be bannable. edit: he used it for 15 rounds esic.gg/annexure-a-sanction-outcomes.pdf

"fact"... Just no... not at all, friend. JW cheated back in 1.6 but on public servers; though to be fair there needn't be a distinction as cheating is still cheating. As far as CS:GO is concerned, there are no record of cheats, just assumptions from witch-hunters.

Subroza was never confirmed to be a cheater, it was just assumed as such, friend. :) The funny thing was, apart from the crazy aim he had, his overall gameplay was shockingly poor. I'm glad he improved and dropped the unnecessary aim-transfer, though.

this is about proof.. and which no one has on flusha. all you have are some random aimlock looking clips that it took flusha years to accumulate. you know why everyone were mad at chaos? because they made as many clips as flusha did in just a few matches.

DURIng the time flusha was suspicious I was a fnatic fan and defended them as a bias. I have played cs since beta in 99. After all this time I can now say flusha 100% cheated. I’ve literally never seen a more blatant cheater. But that’s life it happened and we move on.
