All Coaches Deserve the Ban

Finland the_one_who_baits
Everyone needs to understand that these bans have been given and can only be given for putting yourself in a position to abuse the coaching bug. Nobody can know for sure whether a bugged coach did or did not give info to their team during the match, and that's why all bug abuses cases need to be decided from just looking at the coaches actions in game. Not getting out of the bug when it first happens means a coach has either purposely or out of ignorance put themselves in a position to cheat, and every round they play while bugged needs to be considered as a round they cheated in. ESIC is only doing what's best for the scene.

On the bright side all banned coaches can go become professional Cypher players in Valorant

2020-09-28 20:45
Its weird non of the orgs got fined tho
2020-09-28 20:39
No real way of knowing whether the orgs knew about their coach cheating I guess, same as with all the players
2020-09-28 20:46
Yes but its the org that should be suffering for this many orgs could have won undeserved money, and in its kinda the orgs responsability to look after them closely, in other sports the whole org would have gotten a fine as well.

it would surely be the most fair way to deal with the problem, but i think it would kill alot of ors, and thereby make CS less attractive to watch
2020-09-28 23:31
So someone who did it in 2016, which org should be fined? That's just dumb and impossible.
2020-09-28 21:57
the org that was responsable for that player at that time?

+1 Though it would be difficult for them to enforce this even if it is warranted, to some extent.

no. this is such a zoomer belief and stupidity.
2020-09-28 20:40
Bad take mate. What ESIC is doing is the only reasonable and fair way of doing it.
2020-09-28 20:48
ok kid mb learn about Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui nega or Proof lies on him who asserts, not on him who denies when I see hltv, I always ask myself where the praised finnish education is. probably a hoax.
2020-09-28 20:50
Are you serious? The proof is a demo of the coach using what is essentially a wallhack. The burden of proof is then on the coaches to prove they weren't giving any info to their team.
2020-09-28 20:59
no. proven is that a bug occured. not proven in most cases (not guys like rejin or zoner) is any use.
2020-09-28 20:51
What's proven is that Guerri and Robban we're using a wallhack for an entire map. Considering all the mitigating circumstances they should obviously face a lesser ban than someone normally would for using the bug for an entire map, but not trying their hardest to fix what was obviously a game breaking exploit is plenty of evidence. Banning both was the only fair thing to do.
2020-09-28 20:59
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk why I even talk with a kid "iam the one who baits" faze lost the map robban was "using a wallhack" 16-1. his story is 100% true. use your brain and stay with the facts. there is no proof in most cases. the data backs up the most execuses/explanations we heard so far. and now pls stfu with your uneducated childish understanding of right and justice. delete the thread and your acc too. ty

Holy shit you're stupid. Go through my post one more time, read every word carefully and maybe you'll finally understand what I've already told you in 3 separate comments. Though I'm not holding my breath since you're obviously from a 3rd world country. Here's the quick summary in case I haven't been clear enough: Cheating while losing is as bad as cheating while winning and opinions aren't a good basis for a justice system
2020-09-28 21:14
I dont need to go through your shitty posts again you have no proofs for cheating and I dont tell you that cheating while losing is ok, I try to tell you that you have no evidences.
2020-09-28 21:18
Ok moron
2020-09-28 21:21
clown kid, you have no valid points here but it`s okay. I give you the "You're not worth my time" exit because you most likely are a stupid kid

It's just the difference of opinions at work. Why does every HLTV debate need to end in an unchivalrous debacle?
2020-09-28 23:11
No it`s not " difference of opinions at work. " stop that "oh lets be nice, everything is opionion" everytime. it`s a fcking fact that there is no evidence. his own second sentence is "Nobody can know for sure whether a bugged coach did or did not" but he goes crazy apeshit when I tell him about in dubio pro reo, what isnt a opinion too but basic human right! I wont stop calling out clowns here!

It is a discussion, is it not? Fact remains coaches are being banned because they knowingly abused a bug in the game for personal gain, which is cheating no matter how you slice it. If one person disagrees with you, then that is a difference of opinion unless it's a denial of fact. I still see the discussion of coaching being banned or not a well-respected discussion but there is no reason for it to get ugly, we're all adults here, are we not? Granted not all of the users are... but you definitely are, friend.
2020-09-28 23:39
"Fact remains coaches are being banned because they knowingly abused a bug in the game" not a fact, a guess.and in many cases, a guess with reasonable doubts. and if someone gives 2 contrasting statements ("we dont know for sure" - "ITS PROVEN!!!11") because he cant deal with the arguments, it`s not a discusion, it`s a shit show. a discussion needs a foundation, friend!

Robban's ban doesn't even matter , he's retired
2020-09-28 21:16
he sees it different and I would too when my legend is stained because something happened years ago I didnt even realise
2020-09-28 21:19
Having read what he says happened it does seem unfair But his reputation won't be tarnished just because of this ban, if he's proved it's unfair then the community will decide what to think

How so?
2020-09-28 23:08
+1 I really don't understand why Guerri is still allowed to coach in the ESL tournaments? Like, didn't he get 6 months ban? Idk, so I could be wrong : )
2020-09-28 20:53
I think he got a 4 month ban starting from today
2020-09-28 21:01
4.5 months from today, he's still coach, no suspension, just can't be ingame or in the same room during matches so essentially still doing strats, demoes, and helping the guys outside the game just no midround calling
2020-09-28 23:13
ESIC is looking for more funding - those bans are - for many of the coaches - not fair. The fact that there are no proof they abused the bug, but only encountered it and had the opportunity to abuse, and still gets outed, is against all principles for a fair "trial"
2020-09-28 21:05
Encountering and then not saying anything to the admins at all? That doesnt make sense on why one would hide it, if he was not using it
2020-09-28 21:15
If you watch the HLTV stream his ban reducing up to 85% is also sth you would never get in court. So it is fair. When you done it, admit it before investigation started, helped by the investigation etc you can go out with almost 0 bans. Twista had should use it that He could have got down from 36 months (or how much he has??) to 9 months for abusing it over 50 rounds. If you want a "trial" then many of these bans would end up higher. Only a few can claim a doubt but probably only lmbt have evidence to prove that he wasn't at the PC. And also said on HLTV Stream, if coaches had the bug and called an admin immediately they get no ban cuz they acted in the "integrity" of the game. All coaches who are banned didn't call an admin when it happens.
2020-09-28 21:20
"Nobody can know for sure whether a bugged coach did or did not give info to their team during the match" Exactly, which is why it's just incredibly stupid.

I agree that the coaches knowingly abusing the coaching bug for personal gain is cheating. However, not all of the coaches that were banned knowingly did this for personal gain...

Nonsence. For example, the situation with lmbt: he logged in from his computer as a coach and then went to the studio as analyst for Russian broadcast. But this bug occurred (and the bug, if you don't know, is a program code error, you don't need to do any special actions to reproduce it). In fact, it's only Valve's fault. I think that most of the coaches will just ignore these bans and continue working as they did before.
2020-09-28 23:27
If they ignore these bans they're going to get their teams disqualified from every MTG and BLAST event

Nah, he's just going to be their analyst and not an in game coach
