First event with gla1ve and the results have already shown as opposed to past events. The Heroic win was Heroic playing good and Astralis playing shit. You can't call them better if they can't replicate the same success in the next match.

? did you not watch the heroic vs astralis match? heroic looked extremely poised to win it and choked a bunch of key rounds, not much shame in that. the outcome of the two series so far between heroic and astralis favours heroic atm. astralis having a new roster and that being the reason as to why theyre playing bad isnt actually an excuse, its just a reason why theyre not as good as heroic. in a couple weeks they may very well be better, but atm heroic >> astralis.

I watched it, choking a massive lead if anything should show you're not better if you can't close a game on your map pick. Come on, it's not a coincidence that the event their IGL comes back to secondary call in mid-round is where they do better in the past when they had 2 new players. All this event did is show that these two teams are equal at least. I'd be happy to say they're not if Heroic are consistently winning against them, but that's not the case right now.

lost to astralis in a close game, lost hard (16-7 doesnt do it justice, astralis started 0-4 and 0-3 up on each map) to them a few days before and hasnt won any events (heroic has).

Starting off strong doesn't really matter if you win pistol round considering that's already 3 guaranteed rounds if the enemy doesn't convert the force buy. All I see is both teams winning one match each, just Astralis won the crucial elimination one.

Astralis is pretty much celebs in Denmark, while Heroic is only known in the CS community. Being the higher-ranked team just shows their current form/skill, but it doesn't show the team's value in merch-sales, clout, or consistency. Right now there is a thing between Heroic and Astralis. Started with Glaive blaming the Heroic players (Cadian as IGL i particular) for not publicly saying, that they had known nothing about the Hunden Bug Cheat and publicly distancing themselves from him. Cadian responding that this should not be a public thing, Glaive could just call him and ask "Did you know about this?". And they should stick to settling things INGAME. I think Device´s post must be seen in that context: They did as Cadian asked, and settled it Ingame. Apart from that, the Astralis players have felt threatened by Heroic as the #1 Team in Denmark, after they suffered a bad loss against them recently. That match was seen as "The Battle of Denmark" and had many danes saying Astralis is no longer the best danish team. Defeating the rival right now means more for both teams, than their position in the rankings.
