C9 es3tag

I'm far from the pro scene level, and I understand that the entire impact can't be displayed in the statistics. However, it seems to me that es3tag is slightly overrated, and the salary of $ 44.4k is too much.

How much did he get payed to ruin his career? This guy made Astralis look stronger than they were in 2018 (or atleast, just as strong, but with better competition). He is without any exageration one the best support players in the current scene

Yeah ur right, Astralis is a shit team, and Es3tag is a shit player, worthless, so much so that Zonic didnt even go out of his way to say they wanted to keep him
2020-10-18 16:40

Cuz to be honet, there weren't any good teams active in 2018, and nothing illustrates that better than Liquid being the top contender for #2 Astralis is still somewhat dominant now, and lets agree that the competition is MUCH fiercer
2020-10-18 16:45
there were many good teams. and liquid is one of the most skilled teams, they all know each other and have decent strats. them being #2 is no surprise.
2020-10-18 16:52
of course he said they wanted to keep him, he was being professional.

Astralis top1 2018 Astralis top1 now Hard to grasp a simple comparisson? Skill and form are subjective anyhow, besides, #18

astralis is 1st for the first time this year. they were first like whole 2018. their core lineup won 4 majors and grand slam while astalis with es3tag won...wait for it...1 ONLINE tournament. you are completely deluded...and about that competition? you are deluded even more
2020-10-18 16:48
Holy shit you are making yourself look like an idiot.
2020-10-18 17:05
in 2018 they won almost every tournament they attended, in 2020 they only attended 2 tournaments with es3tag and won 1 xd
2020-10-18 16:59

Literally everyone in C9 is getting overpayed.
2020-10-18 16:33
Cloud9 will go bankrupt from all the cs dumb spending
2020-10-18 16:36

Lmao you really think that cloud9 is going bankrupt

I can explain it for you in what hopefully will be a logical manner. The roster Cloud9 will field will net a profit. They will net a profit and will easily match any and all expenses that come from this roster. They will do so due to two simple facts: 1. They’ve cornered the UK market with up and comer Mezii, renowned IGL Alex and HenryG whose a household name in CS. 2. They’ve cornered the Turkish (and most of the middle-eastern) market with w0xic. Most of C9s revenue from cs (or any org from that matter comes from sponsorship and merchandise sales) - their cornering of those two markets aids both cases. Not only will merch sales for C9 increase in the UK and Turkey (plus some of ME) but also viewership will increase from those areas. So... you have a profitable roster that WILL NOT lose you money BUT you lack some of the talent needed to compete at the High Tier2/Low Tier1 level, what do you do? You use some of your expected surplus money to lock in a solid player who, may otherwise of said no to your request (he had all the leverage), you as the org are fine with overpaying him because you know your roster will still be a profit and because it will ensure your team is competitive. Hope that helped!
