I get that it that Perfecto is COVID-19 positive and boombl4 alongside flamie were with him bootcamping.. So I think it was hard to relocate boom and flamie for the match away from him but but .....
^^^^ boombl4 said there was suspicion he had COVID so I assume and I am sure that perfecto and flamie both had their tests done together with him and on 15th he said he was negative. Perfecto knew he was positive on 15th and still played against VP.. Instead of NAVI management getting a stand in for him coach or maybe junior player they do this shit like they are entitled.. ESL is so biased man. s1mple effect I suppose.
Since this is an RMR-tournament, using a stand-in would mean losing 20% of their RMR points, and another 20% after Perfecto/Boombl4 came back. They would essentially not qualify for the Major if they used stand-ins.
Tbh it made sense when originally it was just supposed to be 3 events until the major would go live later on this year (around this time), but doesn't really make sense anymore concidering that we're most likely not going to see another major for at least half a year. I think a fair decision would be to introduce transfer phases, so teams can swap players for a certain amount of time until a fixed deadline without any deduction of RMR points
issue is that it was obvious since the lock downs this major was going to get cancelled. Very irresponsible of Valve to say it was canceled this late. Also, 100% there have to be at least 1-2 LANs to determine who are the best teams for the major not these shitty RMR tournaments (in which some teams did cheat).
True, but what can you really expect from valve lol
May take a while for the next major to be possible, lets see if even IEM Global Challenge will be able to take place in december, doesn't seem so likely rn due to the current developments
Like you said maybe a Minor like back in the days would be an option to test LAN performance
yea still dont understand this conflict of interest retardation. They leave it up to the community and ofcourse BR fans dont want mibr kicked out. Then right after they literally give mibr 3 months to resolve this massive problem? I dont get it.
Valve were slower than you even expected with this major stuff, unlike conflict of interest stuff.
