Only coach can play as a stand-in at rmr tournaments.

I know. They have to play with perfecto or simply accept TL.

S1mple said they won't play with stand-in or coach
2020-10-20 11:04
i thought navi were easily dominating the cis rmr events after checking the results i can actually understand why they are so desperate to avoid getting a stand-in

NaVi are throwing this event 1000% they don't care they already have enough rmr points

There is still no major coming, and even if valve announce a major, it will be like half a year prior to it. So, I guess they don’t really care

About “they don’t really care” part. As I sometimes look into what s1mple is doing, I noticed how during EPL, s1mple was rejecting every invite to go somewhere or play together smth, but now he’s just chilling with friends and playing Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 with streamers

yea i guess you're right but if the major as to happen by surprise in say 2-3 months with no extra rmr events and navi took a standin and got the -20% for each change i dont even think they get in they drop down somewhere near espada unlikely scenario but its still a risk especially as there has been no communication from valve about major plans

Well, true, that may happen. Even if that’s not the case, they still wouldn’t want to lose 40% of their points because of a 1 match with a stand-in (add a stand-in -20%, bring back perfecto -20% more) Guess we both are partially right (can’t know for sure how players perceive this situation)

yea we could sit here for ages speculating with many different ideas but in the end we dont know what is happening at NaVi with the positive corona case or at ESL with how they are handling it

yes but it should be -20% for adding the standin then -20% for adding perfecto back in right?

yes but thats not every game. And they might go with blade as player until perfecto is healthy.

ik its not each game and its per time they move players but its still a total of -40% thats what my point is as for what they are going to do who knows it makes more sense for them to use Blade but its navi god knows what they will do

its not -40% thats not how math works. Also i swear to god i checked like 2 times and both times i saw not "each change" but "each game"

i havent edited them so idk men maybe get some 👓 i honestly have no idea how they are calculating the changes in points just that its a penalty each roster move

It's -36% in total

oh so its -20% the original points and then -20% the new total after the 1st penalty?

Yes

Isn't this supposed to be a legit reason to not penalize navi? I remember dota dpc points where a player from israel can't attend in indonesia due to visa issue and valve did not penalize the team for using a standin because it's out of their control why the player can't attend the tournament.

idk valve havent actually said anything further about roster changes so i dont think so the difference in that case would be he physically couldnt get there but now everything is online that excuse doesnt work anymore
2020-10-20 11:02
why care if you aren't winning a major anyway? s0mple forever

they have to play with perfecto cuz they can only replace a player with the coach in rmr tournaments as 6th player is not allowed.if they replace perfecto with b1ade then they will lose %20 of the rmr points and they will lose another %20 replacing b1ade with perfecto so they basically have to play with perfecto.
2020-10-19 23:53
my sources tell me that "thisguynochill" will be standing in for navi tomorrow

Hey guys, does somebody know how the vote system in csgo tournaments works? It looks like even in one tournament like Dreamhack the starting team changes irregularly, what makes every kind of map betting very difficult. thx4help
2020-10-20 00:01
they have to skip this match maybe the whole event its better than losing 20% and 20% again adter perfecto return to roster moreover they will earn some rmr points only for participating lol
2020-10-20 00:19
Evelone will play with perfecto's name
