Driving School

Hello mens, I started driving school earlier this year and I was wondering how it is in other countries. Here it's 40 lessons of theory first. Then you take an exam and if you pass, you go to a doctor for a check up (eyesight, reaction time, mental health...). If they determine you're able to drive you can start the driving part which consists of 40 lessons as well. After that, you can take a driving exam. Before you get your license you also have to do a first aid course.

15 Lessons of theory + one first aid course with eyesight check and Photo, you can start the driving lessons while you are still doing theory but you have to pass the theory test before doing the driving test. You need about 15 driving lessons before doing the driving Test.

You practice theory on your own online, then an exam. Then like 10 driving lessons (your parent can also teach if they manage to do a test or something) and then you have your driving exam.

every retard can pass here.

You can't just buy a driver license in Serbia?

you can here.

Probably if you have some really good connections, but I haven't heard about it. It can be easier if you know the officer who is supervising your exam.

like 6 classes of driving school, an eye exam, two tests on signs and rules of the road, 8 driving lessons, then the test which is always stupidly easy. You can tell that getting a license in my province is too relaxed because everyone here drives like shit

In uk you have to get provisional license to do lessons, learn all the stuff and normally do theory in your own time. Do a theory test of multi choice questions and hazard preception if you pass you can do practical test. Practical test you drive about, do some maneuvers and questions without having 13 minors or one major dangerous thing, if you pass you can drive.

Theory exam here is 41 multiple choice question and driving is first done at a course where you have to do a bunch of maneuvers and then a minimum of 35 minutes of driving around the city with a police officer who will ask you to perform some things and probably ask you questions. He also gives you some bad points for mistakes and you can't exceed a certain threshold, idk what it is exactly.

Wait, in Serbia they employ the police as driving examiners?

Yeah. Idk if your driving instructor rides with you as well, but a police officer does for sure.

Yeah, with my practical test the examiner lets you choose whether you want your instructor to be in the car with you or not. I choose to have him be in the car because it made me more comfortable and he gave me some insight after when I passed.

So pretty similar we have invigilator (driving test centre guy) doing basically same thing as the police officer. Our theory is 50 questions and 10 video clip things, I think it's being changed soon though.

I got my license in USA HS as exchange student, and in Lithuania I use it and the cops are fine with it. It was so easy lmao. I think that was the highlight of NA hs good times.

I got my license many years ago so i dont remember all of it. Lot's of theory, i guess around 30 hours. You also have to do a first-aid-course where you learn how to revive people and stuff like that, i cant remember anything i did there but i did my eyesight test there as well. Then i did my driving lessons, guess it was around 30-40 hours in total. I did my "theory exam" some time after my theory lessons ended and my driving test after my driving lessons were finnished. Was pretty easy tbh paid around 1,5k for all of it

There is no mandatory theory course for A/B license (you can just pass the exam preparing by yourself). There are too many illiterate people who are capable of driving so it would be discriminatory to force them to read instructions and manuals.
2020-10-20 22:49
In the US you take a 2-3 month course then if you pass you take 20-30 hours of behind the wheel with and instructor then take the test
2020-10-20 22:46
Here in Russia the driving and theory parts go almost parallel, in the end you have to pass four exams total - two from your school and two from government. Also you have to bring a certificate that confirms you're healthy when applying for a school and you also can buy it in a private medical center

in lithuania like 10 hours theory 10 hours driving you get school certificate go do test not very easy one because couple answers can be correct or can be just 1. And driving test >i started driving at age 8 so was easiest part.
2020-10-20 22:47
30 hours lesson and examafter iirc
2020-10-20 22:50
we didn't do 40 lessons we did like 10 I think something like, that but nowhere near 40

About 30 theory lessons and a theory test, after that you will have 20 driving practice with an instructor and a practice test, we also have simulator classes but now it is optional.

I am doing one right now and it is like that: One month of theory (including doctor's check up on like 3rd meeting) 3 times a week for 2,5 hours. It should be 30 hours of theory from what I know, but it was like only 20 hrs for me. Then you're doing 30 hours of driving, after like 20+ hrs you are doing 2 theory exams (one in driving school to see if you're ready and official one). Then you are driving your last hours and taking driving exam. At least that's how it is in the driving school I am attending I just did 20 hrs of driving and I am taking theory exams in the next week I think

no obligatory theory hours at the beginning, you start driving (30 hours) and then you need to pass theory and driving exam to get driving licence
