Why did he overkill it? That cpu is on par with the ryzen 5 3600, since it's a laptop cpu.

Well, in your case the bottleneck is being caused by the gpu. While your rig has an average bottleneck of 33.6%, his cpu alongside the 1660 ti (which is the only mobile 1660 gpu) has an average bottleneck of 9.52% (anything above 10% is considered bottleneck). So they complement each other quite well. Definitely not overkill.

Because most games are mostly affected by your gpu, csgo being one of the exceptions.

Either the 3060 or the 3070, although neither has come out yet.
2020-10-22 10:57
3070 is the best value in my opinion, msi 3070 gaming x trio costs $690 which costs almost the half of 2080ti in my country and it performs the same. what is your budget anyway?

Are you playing only cs, valorant, lol, fall guys, warzone and other shit free games? Then 1660 is more than enough. You'll have an "okay" performance on AAA games. I guess gpus are expensive in Turkey so I'd wait for amd to release their new gpus, so you could try and buy an old gpu on a sale.

People Could play CoD Warzone with Gtx1660 Super GPU and getting +80fps in high settings youtube.com/watch?v=IERn9QqPsKc GPU choice depends on your budget and your needs , anything above gtx1660super would probably allow you to play warzone smoothly. Edit P.S = Rams Mhz and GB stats also could affect your FPS just by little ( -5 , +5 ) Also You should investigate that ''Bottleneck problem'' between CPU and GPU before buying anything

So basically younlook for Laptop. Following Tips (i own a tuf a15 with r7 4800h and a rtx 2060). 1660ti and 2060 have almost same performance (2060 around 3-5%ish better) BUT you have to check how much watt they have because there are big gaps. A 2060 with only 80/90 watts gets outperformed by a 1660ti with 115w. Best advice to give is 1. Get 2x8 Gigs of ram (3200mhz) 2. Do Not buy 1660ti 80/90 watts 3. Check If Laptop uses optimus

6800xt should beat 3070 whilst 6800 should be on par, 3070 is out of stock everywhere, same might happen to amd. I'd say buy which one is in stock and not overpriced

depends what resolution you wanna play at, if you're aiming for 4k I'd say 16gb to futureproof, but for 1080p and 1440p 10gb should be fine

3080 is good for 1440p and 4k, overkill for 1080p. 10gb vram is fine for 4k atm but might be affected sooner by newer games than if you had 16gb.

Depends what you do with your computer, csgo and other games are fine, but if you wanna play the latest AAA, stream, do productive tasks etc you'd probably wanna upgrade. If you wanna upgrade I'd recommend 5800x, 5900x. It's up to you how much you're willing to spend. 5600x is also an improvement but not big enough of an upgrade to justify new motherboard and cpu (in my opinion). I'm pretty sure all 5000 cpus are out of stock but should be back in 1-2 months.

I have an RTX 2060 super & i5-8500 and so far every new game runs fine at high settings minimum (by minimum i mean to get at least 60 fps) although i recommend waiting for the RTX 3060, good price and apparently way better performance, but keep in mind #95 aswell

the RX 6800 XT can also be a good pick since its cheaper than a 3080 and offers a bit more performance as far as ive seen, now ill be honest when it comes to motherboards im not really an expert but im pretty sure it would handle it fine, if anything you can always go into pcpartpicker.com/ and input all your components there, usually if any of them is incompatible it'll tell you, your cpu is great tho so it'll couple perfectly with either gpu you choose to pick im pretty sure.
