was best when spacesoldiers on top level
Stop reflecting on the past. Live for today 👌😎
Only France Sweden dominating? Shit and boring.
+1 way more exciting storylines. Players had actual personalities.
Blinded by nostalgia lol..2018 and 2019 was way better
Maybe bring some arguments then?
no concurentions .
no big orgs
no much money spend
Majors meant more back then as well. The prestige of winning a major was far greater than winning one today, which made them be more hyped and the whole vibe was better as well, hence you only had one very big tournament which everyone was looking for.
Though, statistically speaking, 2015 was a bad year for CS (look at the peak viewers of the majors from that time)
Tbf, I prefer the 2014/2016-2017 eras
On top of that, there were more content creators during those times as well, which made the game more attractive (in my opinion at least)
Although, I personally think that things became "boring" (or better said, not so fun to watch) once heavily coordinated, risk-free plays became more popular, as well as just having pure mechanical skill wasn't enough. Or simply put, flashy plays weren't so common anymore (for instance, most of the plays which are considered to be "insane" tend to be from matches which were played before 2017)
But in all honesty, lately, I have seen a resurgence in the scene when it comes to how enjoyable is a match to watch; for instance, look at Furia, I genuinely think arT is very fun to watch due to his insane aggressiveness, Godsent as well and the list can go on
2014-15 was very fun for me but go look at the level of play in those games vs today, today we would see the best smashing that fnatic era easily.
no, to much washed oldfags, now when the young blood come in they arent tier 5 anymore, look snax pasha and all that crap
It's the same argument as 1.6 is better than GO, the GO players say it's nostalgia it's the same here, chances are during this era these were you first majors you witnessed and most of you the first time you've seen a eSport at such a high level.
I had the same feeling when I watched CPL Winter 2004.
Everything seems better in hindsight:)
[I am not able to post this as a new topic due to my account being idle for a few years]
I have been out of the gaming scene from past few years. Have played 1.6 till 2013 and recently started (during lockdown) playing CS GO.
I have few questions :
1. Does the player voice audio is ON while they are dead in official CS GO tournaments ?
2. Does Fade2black is ON if answer to 1st question is Yes ?
I really appreciate your help !!
2017 CS >>>> Any other year of CS
Every team beats every team now, it's just too random to be exciting ...
Back then there was more hype. Ever since Boston Major, I've lost some interest in watching even a major.
back when there was like 3x t1 teams and majors had to include t3 rosters
I miss anders and semmler hype comment
