Between it and ryzen 2600 whats best?
not really great for gaming, get ryzen 2xxx or 3xxx for more single core perf :()
Yes it is, you'll be fine.
If your getting it, better to go for ryzen 7 3700x, cheaper newer and faster
Depends on what you need mate.
Both of them are great CPUs, but I think that solely for gaming the 2600 would be better.
Gaming in general, and CSGO specifically usually uses single core, so even though the 1700 has 8c/16t which is quite higher than the 6c/12t of the 2600, the single core performance would be higher for the 2600.
So unless you're going to do some video editing or anything else that might utilize more cores/threads, I'd pick the 2600, and if you can stretch to the 3600 even better.
Eventually, for CS only, any of them would be good enough nowadays..
Great, it's like PS5 CPU, but Zen, not Zen2. But anyway has 3.7 ghz instead of dynamic 3.5, so, very similar.
Unless you have an offer to buy it for cheap and plan to use it for productivity, I don't see benefits of it over the other ryzen options. For gaming the cheaper ryzen 5 2600 is better.
depends on the other options and their price
Good for work, good enough for singleplayer games, not good for CS:GO.
It's like a i7 6700k. I prefer the Ryzen 3600, it's better on games and almost better in workloads and etc.
hey mens i cant create a fcking thread but iam now with a i5 7500, and it honestly sucks, but hardware is overrpriced asf rn, should i wait? im willing to get a ryzen 5 3600
since you already have intel motherboard, what about going for an i5-4690k? It's old, but cheap as dirt now and much better than ryzen 7 1700 for gaming.
should take Ryzen 7 2700X better Ram support
all amd is shit for poor people
I wouldn't buy it in 2020
i'm thinking about picking an r5 1600
than i would have:
corsair h40 (already have)
16gb ram (already have)
gtx 1060 6gb (already have)
Corsair c600 (already have)
i have an i5 7400 and i feel hes getting old and kinda bad
any upgrade better with R$ 2k max? (i need a new cabinet to)
Get i5-10600K mens. Better performance
Buy 2700x with wraith Prism
for 1440k or 4k yes. For 1080p no
5 3600 instead and u gucci
if you only use ur pc only for gaming, go for a ryzen 3 3300x, if u use it for editing/etc you can buy that, gl mens))
Yes and no. 3rd gen ryzen (3k) are already better than this CPU, and 4th gen (5k) simply destroys it
