Streaming PC help
Belgium DagThePimple
Does anyone know if i can stream csgo (at a good quality like 1080p 60fps) with these specs? I7-10700 2.90GHz GeForce GTX 1660 Super 16 GB RAM I thought these were pretty good specs, and i also play 4:3 800x600 (so not demanding of fps at all) yet when i try streaming 1080p60fps, with 6k bitrate my stream gets very choppy. Some parts of it it will be smooth for like 30 seconds and then it will drop frames (only in the stream) and usually when im shooting at someone or flicking very fast. Anyone know if this is normal and if these settings are too high for my specs? or should my specs be able to handle streaming at this quality. NOTE: i am not feeling ANY fps lag whatsoever in game but only in my stream it will drop fps.. i am consistently at like 250-300 fps.

I had an issue with choppiness out of nowhere while I streamed CSGO for a while. I found out part of the issue was actually with what encoder I was using to stream under. I used streamlabs, and for some reason my settings set my stream to be done using my GPU rather than my CPU. I would drop close to 90% of the frames or skip frames which generally would mean a hardware issue. For me, this was easily fixed by switching back to streaming off the CPU. Not sure if this would help, but in my case the game performance was no affected, but the stream was unwatchable

you might get an rtx 2000 series card for cheaper now that the 3000 series is out, I wouldn't safe much money on the graphics card. The 2000 series can easily handle streaming and csgo at the same time without compromise. Also I would recommend an AMD CPU instead of intel nowadays because amd is faster if you consider anything other than gaming(up to the Ryzen 3000 series the 5000 series is also faster in gaming). :)

I'll be honest I don't think his graphics card is that bad. My PC has a Ryzen 2600X CPU and an MSI Radeon RX 580 8GB and like that's pretty low tier performance and I have no issues at all streaming csgo. I don't know that just upgrading should be the first solution

Ya I understand the mistake, I wasn't trying to shit on you with the comment I just wanted to make sure that he knew for sure that he did not necessarily need an upgrade as the firsts priority
