Here we go. Again the most important match between clubs in any sport. Barca Madrid will face each other for the first time this season. I dont remember any of the 2 at a lower level than their current one, but i am sure they will step up anyways, we are talking about el clásico.
Lets start with the lineups:
Madrid doesnt have a clear scheme this season, so far theyve played with their typical 4-3-3 but also tried playing with a double pivot (kroos + casemiro) and odegaard/modric as a joint between them and benzema. Anyways, I think this time we will either see their common 4-3-3 with a medular formed by casemiro kroos modric, or, as they played last season in supercopa, a 4-4-2. I think the second option is the best against the top teams, being more solid and creating a compact block with Casemiro Kroos Valverde Modric in a rhombus. Ideally, as forwards we would have benzema and hazard with a lot of freedom, but since hazard is still recovering, it would be benzema + vinicius/jovic.
Barcelona will play a 4-2-3-1, with doubts on the pivots, probably de jong and busquets but pjanic has chances to enter today. I think we will see messi as false 9, coutinho behind him and then fati and griezmann on the sides. Other option is griezmann as false 9, messi behind and fati dembele in sides, but it doesnt change much. Also options for trincao to enter in the right.
If Madrid goes for the 4-2-2, as i hope they do, we will see barca having most of the possesion and Madrid trying to put the pressure to cut some balls and then get a good counter. Barca is having some trouble attacking teams that defend with many players behind the ball, but the good news for the blaugranas is the recovery of alba, who will give the team some deepness.
There isnt a clear favorite this time, and the team that plays less bad will probably take it. I will say either tie or madrid wins, but its a very open game.
I wont talk about the rest of the matches since you all probably only care about barca madrid, but to list them they are:
Sevilla-Eibar, Osasuna-Athletic, Atleti-Betis.
PS: I would like to express my disagreement with the no public policy. Obviously, allowing 90.000 people to be together is impossible, but we are talking about a huge stadium. You could easily allow up to 20.000 people and guarantee nobody is any closer than 3 or 4 meters from other people (other people they dont live or relate with). Also with a bit of order and time, same can be said about entrances and exits from the camp.
Have a good day and enjoy the match!
