"Then maybe play Faceit if you are too good for mm. I can guarantee you, if you are a player that only plays mm, your experience will be totally fine until you reach Global Elite. "
I already do that, but it shouldn't be like that because just because they won't work on a proper anti-cheat. that logic is just flawed.
"Your trust factor won't be bad from playing "too good" if you follow the natural progression, the elo system always pushed you into a region fit for you. "
GE from 2014 - 2017, which is when mm started to become unplayable and cheatinfested. barely ever touched it again, and when I did, experience was horrendous.
"Only once you start playing on third party services and therefore disrupt the natural progression of the elo system, you will get problems with playing too well." Hit GE a month before i created my faceit account, but I get what you're saying here.
"I also don't understand why Faceit lvl 10's play mm with friends instead of Faceit but whatever. "
The general consensus is that when you reach smfc-ge in this game, you finally got the basics down .. which is not meant as a rude comment but more of a shared perception among players who've climbed the ranks outside of the valve matchmaking system.
MM lem - ge's is like average faceit lvl 4 players.. If I were to play faceit with, friends that rather stick with MM, they don't have a good time. The average ELO will be way above their skill level, thus matching them up against players that would be "too good" for them. Faceit also has an anti-smurf policy. Phonenumber needs to be linked to your account, which is a good thing in my opinion, I don't want to ruin peoples games.
So my problem is not with the faceit system or the fact that it creates hard match-ups which kill the joy for casual friends, just that the mm system is flawed and the anti-cheat just flat out garbage. Just because I tend to play better than an average GE, when queued with GE premades, doesn't mean I should be put up against players who shit on us with 0 game experience, who 9/10 times happen to play on brand new accounts with no medals, faked hours and bought commends. It's easy too easy to spot, afaik.
Also, for me, mm is just hanging back in my chair, clicking my mouse for a bit and occasionally throwing a grenade here and there, i don't have to be sweaty unlike faceit games. Sometimes its just nice to go cl_brain 0 with some music and just play for a bit without having an urge for winning. MM would have been perfect for that. but it's not doable, atleast for me. So we tend to stick to community retakes etc these days. Which is a shame, it shouldn't be like that.
I'm glad for you that your experience is better than mine, atleast one of us can have the games' main game mode played out fairly.
