no decent free agent IGLs available but then again we know how much money faze like to throw around
2020-10-26 01:27
maybe cause he's still on contract with Faze
2020-10-25 22:49
In theory, NiKo, said that he was hoping to see Olof back in the game, but that he was sure it wouldn't be on Faze because it was Olof decision. Maybe with NiKo leaving it can change or something to avoid losing more rtr points or something, but that's what he said.

Olof is probably still under contract. So why wouldn't he fill the temporary gap. Whatever his reasons for leaving were, this is just a nice no-pressure thing he can surely do

But if you look on who they have been getting other than cold it is mostly washed up players for low buyout or newcommers for free, Kjaerbye was also a free agent... but they will get fortune for Niko so actualy they might spend some money if I think about it again.

russian is not a race at most he was being prejudiced towards a nationality or discriminating slightly while relying on stereotypes and in his defense a well-mannered russian online is extremely rare.

Yeah well you still should have said "Let's not discriminate tho". The racism card is overplayed and using it in this context only devalues the term to where it loses it's meaning.

Problem started when Olof thought he was too good for fnatic and that he was a super star deserving of a super team. Olof is done for, he'll never perform again. Screen shot this.

Thats not true? They all had shit attitudes and had their expectations too high, it wasn't any one players fault.

But they worked together and fixed shit internally. Olof bailed
2020-10-25 23:31

It was by no means fixed, i mean sure Olof bailed in a sense but could you blame him? He was too good for fnatic. Them parting ways was the best thing that could've happened to either parties tbh, both went on to have a lot of success.

Yea good for Fnatic lol since Olof became too egotistical
2020-10-25 23:47

I mean.. Jw and flusha also bailed them before, so they have no right to say anything to olof Also, if olof was egoistical, he wouldn't have accepted to play shitty roles in Faze
2020-10-25 23:54
10 replies
Yeah but ultimately they worked it out and made Fnatic a contender still. Olof take the ez way out to join a superteam. You can't say "it was his shitty roles" cuz Faze tried everything and they sucked.

2020-10-26 00:10
"late 2017 - early 2018" So a few months lol. I think they won one event? I dont even remember honestly cuz they never stood out as a consistent challenge

September 2017 -> June 2018 in my opinion Only one event? Are you a stupid? I think you need to look before you say stuff like this mens))
2020-10-26 00:15

So since Sept 2017, they had fairly consistent performance with bunch of wins but also some bad placements, not super dominant but you can make a case. All that lasted till Dec 2017 though, so I would say it was the honeymoon period. Their performance started to go down a bit, and Faze ended with 4th placements with two notable 2nd place finishes in ELeague Major and IEM Katowice, which was end of February 2018. After that it was all 4th - 8th placement, with one fluke 1st place in Epicenter 2018. All in all, it was good but very short-lived. After that they had pretty bad showing until Olof "took a break" which really just meant that if he kept playing, he would only be digging his grave deeper.
2020-10-26 01:15

I think any team that can boast consistent placements of top 4 with the occasional bomb in quarter finals is worthy of the mantle "pretty good". It was a lot more than fnatic has done until about mid 2019, i'd say it was a solid 8-9 months of good placings for FaZe. He made the right call, and at the same time I think if he had stayed both fnatic and FaZe would've been weaker for it Sorry for calling you stupid btw I just read the message and had no idea why I did hahah
2020-10-26 10:39
3 replies
Idk how its a solid 8-9 months when it was at best 5-6 months. I think if olof stuck around with Fnatic, they might not have gotten better if one player thinks he's better than everyone else. Maybe the flusha/jw/krimz core might've also permanently split if they tried to make it work. Regardless, I don't see Olof ever coming back to a high level again, I wager he'll be a decent support player at best.

Sometimes it's better for everybody if a player leaves a team. We can't know for sure but it appears this was one of those cases. Fnatic at the time were bumping heads with each other and olofmeister leaving might have brought the space the team needed to comeback and perform. It wasn't olofmeister's ego problem as it was the team not adapting their game to csgo meta at the time.
2020-10-27 20:52
1 reply
I think this was when Olof was ranked like somewhere top5? And yeah while struggling with the meta and unable to perform, it makes sense that Olof would think he's better off elsewhere since he was a top high valued player then.
2020-10-27 22:18
uh did you forget it was krimz, jw and flusha that bailed first, then krimz came back and even later flusha and jw came back. To olof it was clear that they weren't working well together anymore so he left in search for something else. To be saying he's the one that bailed is ridiculous.
