The man hasn't lost a round in his career, there is no doubt that he is the most dominant lightweight ever. I don't even like Khabib but i agree he deserves to be in the conversation for GOAT status, he is the most dominant champion ever.

Jon jones had been using steroids his whole career. But even if you don't take that into consideration , he still lost to reyes ( for sure 3-2) , and arguably lost his first fight with gustafsson, and had very close fight with thiago santos. Khabib won all his fights being absolutely dominant , ( except tibau , but that fight would be equal to jones-santos in terms of decision ) , 29-0 , never bled , lost just 1 round in terms of competition , its very close , jones had dc , machida , glover , gustafsson and vitor , others were overrated fighters like rampage jackson or mauricio rua etcc khabib had mcgregor , dustin , RDA , barbosa , gaethje If you don't take steroids into consideration , and if jones beats isreal adesanya / miocic , he should be the GOAT ( which is improbable if we look at his last 3 fights ) Khabib is definitely up there , but IMO he really needed that big fight win ( either GSP or tony )

Jones is the best fighter on the planet, cannot be the GOAT because he's failed numerous drug tests, had controversial decsion victories and since USADA has looked pretty bad compared to his prime in his past 2 fights. Khabib may not be the goat in your opinion, it's hard to tell because it's all opinion based and fans will defend their favourite fighter but he is the most dominant fighter in ufc history, 13 straight UFC wins, arguably never lost a round. 3 title defences is more of the UFCs fault, he went 9 straight wins without losing a single round to very good fighters before he was given the title shot, usually people have it after 4-5 good wins against ranked oponents, took him double that time because of inactivity by Mcgregor, had he had his shot back in 2016 when ,mcgregor left he would have atleast 6,7 title defences. Even with 3 title defences he is the longest reigning champion in LW history, arguably the most stacked division of all time. Jones is too dirty and has too much controversy surrounding him to be considered the GOAT by many. Besides Khabib is 1000% the #1 p4p fighter right now, 3 wins on the trot losing officially 2 rounds (1 was vs a cheating mcgregor.. the 2nd 2 days ago was because of fucking blind judges... how tf did he lose the first round...) against Mcgregor,poirier,Gaethje... Jones has arguably lost to Reyes already and been hurt so often since coming back from his suspension. If he wins the HW belt he would be the GOAT imo but at LHW he was a big guy in a small divison, just like Khabib, difference is that nobody has even given khabib a bruise or make him bleed a tiny bit in 13 fights, he was just uncontested. I really with he hadnt retired, the new Khabib could be the most complete fighter in the ufc- solid underrated striking, unparraleled grappling,relentless pressure,insane fighting IQ... he could've gone and gotten the belt at WW i think as well... sad that he had to retire...
