EG isnt leaving
C9 wont leave, they will keep wasting money
it's going to die if valve keeps negligence it. so it's all up to valve to decide.
No. Csgo might die but cs will not. It is like quake which is always there in a new platform
no and it will never die, stop making 0/8 threads
lmao theres a major economic recession and youre expecting the same amount of orgs to stay in the scene?
FaZe getting rid of their Yugoslavs is a good thing. FaZe UP!
eg moved to eu 1 week ago lmao they are not gonna leave soon
no and it will never die, stop making 0/8 threads
Who cares? G2 more entertaining, FaZe with FalleN too.
in na maybe it will but the top na teams will move to eu i feel when the covid situation clears
NA scene is shit so who cares.
Cs has not received an update for like 2 months, what do you expect ?
pro scene dying, lack of care from volvo, no operations, many cheaters... yes game will die soon if everything keeps this direction
why the fuck would it die when it's the best pure fps out there still? valorant is utter fucking garbage
cs has been dying since 2000
Yes, because for example, EU football is totally dead, cos no rich NA orgs
yes, unlucky but Valorant will takeover sooner or later, KR scene died to Valorant, NA is dying to it too. its just a matter of time imo
CS can't die. It's way too established. It's very much unlike your typical yearly CoD release.
It's like WoW, it's impossible to kill it. Only the developers can pull the plug on these titans. And actually, they can't even do that - because private servers and community servers. People will always find a way.
honestly cant imagine new people are picking up the game and starting from silver in 2020 that's for sure
one day yes, just like everything else
C9 have 3 years contracts theyre hardly going to leave
Going to? It's already dying.
The only reason NA CS isn't already finished, is because Liquid and EG are too late to join Valorant and be tier 1, so they try to cling to life in their dead scene. Otherwise you could cross of that continent from CS.
EU looks ok for a couple of more months though, but it is inevitable at this point.
in canada, mb
In eu and cis csgo will never die
CS is already kinda dead. They made the game free and don't even try to ban the cheaters anymore. You will encounter a cheater every other game in MM and they are blatantly doing it.
it won't die but it won't grow at this rate..... gonna go like Overwatch where there needs to be a reduction in the amount of pay in the whole scene
When LANs come back, pro scene is going to rise again. Online esports is always quite coinflip as we have seen from many qualifiers that some almost nonamers are getting into the whole tourney and then getting smashed and going to exit at the last place.
It will find its perfect equilibrium
if that means a few lesser T1 teams and a few lesser T2 teams, so be it.
It's the pandemic not the game really.
valve doesn't update the game with adding new content (e.g MAPS) so ye, eventually it will. But for now is don't think valorant is going to take over for some time.
NA CS maybe, because I don’t see FNATIC, Astralis or any big EU teams leaving
Just like Queen Elizabeth CS has always been here and will always be here
as long as Nordavind stays best team i dont think so
eventually? yes. in the near future? naah. csgo got past the hardest part of this shitty situation: the beginning. we might loose a big chunk of NACS though seeing how fucking irrelevant they are when not facing some real CS constantly.
why tf all NA bots should make everyday a threat with CSGO IS DYING , CSGO DIE ...?
C9 are here for 3 years according to their contracts
Well eventually one day it will die ofc but please just stop with these useless threads, really solves nothing and people make like 5 threads a day of this topic.
cs would probably live without na, all of the top competition is eu anyway
C9 won't leave
idk about eg, didn't hear anything
faze most likely won't leave
100t was irrelevant tbh, yes a good lineup but I saw no difference between 100t and renegades
No. Less NA teams won't have a huge impact anyway. CS has thrived even before NA entered the scene in any meaningful way. Also C9, EG and FaZe aren't going anywhere anytime soon. 100T was the exception, but it never looked good anyway. They're a clothing company that also happens to have an esport division. They did absolutely nothing with their CS team. They put out, what, 2 videos with the CS team? The welcome, and goodbye ones haha.
CS will never die. No other game has hardcore fans like cs has. All these other games are flavour of the month type of games with bandwagon followings. As long as there are hardcore fans, cs will never die. Viewership and player numbers are irrelevant to me. I love this game and i'm gonna watch it even if only 1000 people watch it. And people seem to forget that CS growth has been grass roots. Valve hasn't done SHIT about the game apart from having the majors. Everything else has been community driven. Compare that to these new games which the devs put all they have behind them. I'd say it is pretty awesome that cs is still relevant with little to almost zero support from the devs.
Same thing happened in 1.6, they did fine with out NA.
It will depend on what level of interest the young kids have for CSGO because it is starting to be "old news" now, which happened for 1.6 the newer kids just follow.what looks more graphically appealing or whatever is trending on twitch.
Competition however will last as long as it's supported.
CS:GO won't ever die, there's more money in the scene than 1.6 at it's height.
I believe that there are several reasons why CS is dying slowly. 1- Majors with very low payouts. It is very difficult to maintain the salaries that players receive, only the teams that are winning titles have security in the profession. Dota 2 has a much smaller base player and still manages to reach another level of awards with The International and it is possible to do something similar at CSGO. 2- Very weak marketing work on the game, it could be much better worked and so far the only means of promotion is Steam itself. 3- Lack of innovation in the game, only a few weapon changes and it is very difficult to see any new maps entering the competitive. 4- Lack of communication between Valve and organizations and incentive for them to continue and expand, as regional and international leagues, the truth is that Valve does not get involved with the community and much less with the professionals, Riot does it very well and with absurd success. Many people will say that it is a good game, and CSGO is very good, it doesn't need much to work and I agree, but it could be much richer than it is. Not to mention the improvements for casual players, like better servers, tick 128, new ranking system etc.
I think cheating is destroying it
Everybody who makes this sort of post is a braindead fuck or baiter, literally the number one FPS atm in terms of playerbase, even the original Cs is still in the top 100 games played on steam. Cs won't die because some fuckass orgs don't know how to build a team in CS
who cars about na cs
eu is thriving and that's where all the money is anyways
