In my experience, UK, US, NZ and Australia don't have as many opportunities for an immigrant as Canada. In my family (and friend's families) a lot of people went to the US, most of them haven't had the best life, and even the ones who succeded were leaving their engineering degree to work as a housemaid or a car mechanic. Not to count the prejudice and other stuffs In Canada people were actually asked to move in, treated really well and won a lot of money, some of them came back filthy rich, and others are living very well in there

It is, but you won't be that exposed to cold, there is heating everywhere you go during winter, and summer isn't that bad. I can tell you that living in a sunny place won't make your life better.

It's a known fact about the US but why the other three? I have relatives and friends who are really successful in England and some distant acquaintances doing well in Australia.

+1 As an Aussie, I agree
2020-10-31 11:00
It's about the opportunities, I think Canada is the best one of them, it's like the "american dream" but for real. Australia is very good indeed, but you won't earn as much money, but you can enjoy a great life. UK is very nice if you can work with your degree there, but "working class" life is tough in there. Most of the people I know who emigrated were young doctors, so I might be biased

Yeah, my relative was indeed invited by the bank he's working for to work at the head office in London. But I would say as a working class person it's tough everywhere.
2020-10-30 18:14
What do you mean when you say "You will not earn much money in Australia"? We have one of the highest minimum wages in world.

High cost of living
2020-10-30 18:35
That's exactly why, it's a very equal country, so if your objective is to bulk money (to come back to your country or to establish yourself in the new country), it won't be as easy. I would say that being born in Australia is great, but emigrating not that great
2020-10-30 19:24
Because they're European mate, Latin Americans don't get treated the same way.

Yes, little shit, I've been. If you think an European company would rather hire your Latin ass instead of a European you're delusional.

Either Canada or NZ. I'm more of a hot weather fan(and LotR fan lul) so I picked NZ.

esquire.com/uk/life/news/a11022/its-offi.. Overall quality of life, out of 100 Scotland: 74 Northern Island: 73.2 England: 72.7 Wales: 72 I tried to find a study that would compare all the Uk countires to other countries but all that came up was other countires to compared to Uk as a whole

Well thats comparing the entire countries of Scotland, wales, and nothern ireland with 9 different parts of England so its not very fair. Because i think that if you compare Glasgow, Edinburgh, The highlands, Dundee ect the rankings would be pretty different to each other
2020-10-30 19:44
I do agree with that, but life as an immigrant is very different than being born in that place. Life is tough on places that people are not that used to foreigners.
2020-10-30 19:28
Well i think if you compare Scotland with a population of 5.4 million and a budget per person exceeding the English then you will see those sort of ratings. The place I come from (South East England) i can almost guarantee without looking at statistics that despite a higher population and lower budget per person we still have a higher HDI, better infrastructure, more economic output etc Also as #52 points out this is about moving there as an immigrant, the Scottish are very inward-focused, not very well travelled on the most part and in my experience a lot more racist. If this guy is the average Brasilian then he's not going to have a great time.

I mean i assume Canada is the best, close to the US, pretty good opportunity, yknow. But the side of my family that fled conflict and used their British colonial passport to get here was really really successful. In my sociology class in secondary school, we saw that behind Chinese people that my 40k or so diaspora are some of the most successful people in the UK due to hard-working nature and bringing over a lot of wealth when they left.
