CS:GO Playerbase 31/10/2020
Spain Sneakers
steamcharts.com/app/730 Surprised to see such charts, i was thinking a drop would continue. 610k avr. 940k+ peak But in fact, we back in the green numbers, higher avarage players, a bit lower peak. But good stuff. CS is strong, and Lans and no majors are not even going on. Dont think the peak at around 1.3 million is even our max. And Valve is apparently testing a lot of stuff behind the scenes in their private devs server.. All extremely secretly.

+1 League, VALORANT, Overwatch, PUBG, Apex Legends, Dota2.. all are really update reliant. We only need the gameplay which is the boss. But if Valve is rly preparing Source 2, it gonna be such a banger.

+1 one of the best things Valve has is they adapt really fast to the cirumstances. People hate them but they are actually the best in the business, just probably very lazy and laidback.. unlucky.

+111111 thats a sign how great the concept of this game is. Imagine how can CSGO look when it gets developed by someone that care about inovating it

same, actually. The numbers are so much better now than in 2019. I guess, the fact that valorant came out has helped the game a lot. On r/valorant I've seen some posts about switching to csgo from first-time cs players because of the awful spray mechanics, server lag etc.

That's weird. You shouldn't see any of those as Riot controls the narrative fully in LOL and VAL reddits.

maybe it has slipped under the radar reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/hr88jz/va..

+1 VALORANT helped CS more than it will ever do any damage to it. it cleaned the scene from cheaters, matchfixers and washed up pros. win It also gave more interest to shooters from people who never played shooters. another win. valorant is also slacking a lot, i dont think the playerbase is that high, and the updates are mostly rushed, case in point how the latest one had to be rolled back cuz of a buggy mess it was. lol

csgo is slacking a lot with updates too, as they did with revolver update kekw, you dont think the playerbase is that high, only 2.61 million players peak this day kekw, yet im surprised how valorant is doing better than the first 2 years of csgo, valve doesnt care about cs anymore

the playerbase Riot gives is always weird and fishy. Other than they always inflate it the most possible like using the asian players or giving it only when Major or world championship happens... I'd like to see an open source like Steam has, which gives u data every hour/ever 10mins. Also the revolver update (which is famous xD), they fixed it in 2 days. or something like that. Riot apparently fucks up, and has to roll back a whole update, I dont see valve doing that, they just adapt to the scene which imo is better. the 2 years of CS:GO were a disaster that true. But again Valve adapted really fast, and during those 2 years it had updates everyday. everyweek. BUt u cant compare a CS:GO which is still a modified version of CS1.6 relaeased in 2012, vs VALORANT with Unreal engine 5, in 2020. A brand new game.

csgo was released in 2012, while valorant was released in 2020, there is a pretty big difference between a old af game that had no media attention and a new 2020 game that was streamed on twitch and had a heavy social media presence. I thought danish people were smart

I thought a game released 8 years ago will not have a tons of bugs and 60% cheaters

I think it could be happening, but i expect them to actually annnounce it for once, and do it right like CS deserves. A new trailer, cinematics whatever. Announcing the date and all. It would be so hype..

I just cant imagine how much it would be if they contuniued to put updates like they did a few months ago. It made it peak so high then valve remembered they didnt like csgo

Dota 2 gets all the work and still got much lower playerbase than CSGO. Valve should rethink about their priorities
