Don't sleep requirements vary a lot between people? I have friends who function ok with next to no sleep, but if I don't sleep 8 hours I feel dead

Yes, but it's also something you can get used to. Like breakfast, I need to have it within 30 minutes of waking up, others have it 4 hours into their day.

Lack of successful youngsters...i guess? Brollan, Hampus, Nawwk, Plopski, REZ is basically the only youngsters that made it to a top team lol. I did not add Draken because he was like 21 or something when he joined NIP. I mean, just look how dead their scene is atm: hltv.org/ranking/teams/2020/november/9/c.. In 2 out of 8 teams they have 2 Norwegian guys, 1 British guy and 1 Brazilian guy.

Well, he is not talking about Fnatic, NIP and Dignitas online performance in 2020 mate. He is talking about Swedens CS scene 2017-18-19-20.

2017 Swedish CSGO was pretty good, NiP had the core of Xizt, GTR, and F0rest and obviously was a constant top 10 team and regularly took maps or even games off of FaZe, SK, G2, Astralis etc. Obviously Fnatic was also still a consistent top 10 team with Lekr0 and Golden, and even Godsent in the early year was a decently strong team. 2018 was a strange time, NiP I felt lost some consistency but still they were a regular top 10 team, fnatic I feel was a better team then NiP but obviously they were having hard times. 2019-2020 is where I think it truly died

polish cs were ruined by vp changes but sweden had two tier1 teams and still struggled to hold their place as the best csgo nation
2020-11-10 23:04
got too cocky and complacent, didnt take any chances with new talents until way too late, no one wanting to take up the igl role
2020-11-10 23:03

Nobody could take up the IGL role. Obviously Xizt picked up the role, Fifflaren retired, Pronax got washed up hardcore, Golden kinda sucks but you have him, Lekr0 picked up the role, Hampus kinda sucks but he is also an IGL. And that should rap up all Swedish IGLs who have ever competed at tier 1
2020-11-10 23:21
I actually agree with this. They keep these old cocky pros like jw around and nothing happens, maybe 1 or 2 LAN wins but thats it.... They need to make room for younger talents like Denmark is doing. Its patethic how far Swedish cs have dropped since being on top.
2020-11-10 23:44
Nothing went wrong lol, you can't be the best forever. Things like dominance come and go.
2020-11-10 23:09
Few people actually care about professional CS:GO in Sweden nowadays, the scene is full of cocky people and as a new player wanting to improve, you won't really be welcome.

Just answering his question ¯\_(-.-)_/¯
2020-11-10 23:20
the problem with the swedish scene was that we never really had anyone who brought up young talent while Denmark had GOD HUNDEN.
2020-11-10 23:47
imo when I was younger, growing up with 1.5/1.6 in Sweden literally 80% of kids played it, it was THE game and with the widespread of gaming nowadays CS:GO is not getting the focus 1.6 was getting.
2020-11-10 23:54
The swedish scene is still second strongest, and you will typically count 20 swedish players in the Top 30 teams on HLTV. But I think some of the swedish comments in this thread may be right. The danes have lots of strong IGLs, who move on to be great coaches. Great IGLs + great coaches => get the best out of young talent. (Can´t wait to see Karrigan as coach in a couple of years. Could be even better than Zonic & Hunden)

To be far I think we still have the potential but we have 1-2 teams and a bunch of player who could take place in FNC/Dig/NiP but in Sweden you don't get paid for playing cs like you do in Poland/Danmark if you dont have good sponsors. The goverment dosen't give you contribution here for playing CS like they do in Poland and Danmark. If they could go fulltime like all these Danish raising stars is doing Sweden would be the same.
2020-11-11 10:36
igls, coaches, teamwork in general improved a lot in recent years. basically brain took over aim in #1 strenght to success. not saying that sweden is all aim but denmark surpasses them by a large margin.
2020-11-11 13:31
We have too many washed up players and less young talents you can see that on Dignitas for example. Denmark have alot of new talents
2020-11-11 15:35
No interest in the game anymore in this country, that's why. We have NiP, fnatic (and olof) but nothing between them and the unknown players. No new players, no upandcomers etc. It's like there was no new players starting playing since 2-3 years back.
