Btw sick guitar man
How much was this and if you dont have any pedals and just amp, start with hotel california or stairway to heaven
They are really good songs. Also tell me if you need an app which has tabs(its only for android tho)

epiphone?.... les paul....? ewww
2020-11-14 20:16
Pretty solid choice for first guitar. When you eventually get another guitar, which absolutely will happen, I'd recommend something with a faster neck e.g. some Ibanez w/ Wizard.

Looks good man, my best tip is play the songs you really like. Otherwise it’s a bit pointless learning hotel California or stairway to heaven.
Play around and find a tone you like. Also buy a tuner. When you get good you can go to drop C and play some banging af riffs

Looks really cool.

There is a steam game called 'rocksmith', absolute must if you want to play guitar! You can connect your guitar to your PC and learn/play songs, with different difficulty levels :)
You buy the game, a custom cable, one song, and download all the other dlc's and custom dlc's (ieliegalie) - google for instructions :)

Sick man! I want an alpine white gibson les paul custom so bad. What amp did u get?
2020-11-15 09:06
great purchase man, hope you play your heart out now ;)
2020-11-15 09:23
Nice! I mainly play with an acoustic guitar but my first electric guitar was Yahama Pacifica. Was also an easy transition as electric guitars are quite easier to play with (lower action, faster necks, nickel strings even of the same gauge as bronze are easier on the fingers). I suggest in getting a good amp like someone suggested Boss Katana is amazing.
Enjoy your guitar :)

Good luck on your journey!
Remember: There is only ONE individual in the galaxy who can teach you!
You can watch a zillion videos, buy or borrow all the books, hire teachers, join courses ...
It's YOU with your new friend around your neck for hours and hours, day in day out for years!
Personal choice, but I - as bassplayer - tried out many many genres, trying to understand what makes this or that type of music work.
Driven by curiousity! Yes, also ambition, but I opened my ears to everything from cool laidback West Coast like Eagles or Steely Dan, I checked out bassparts from Level 42 as well as the tuff tuff stuff from i.e. Symphony X. Popmusic, soul, country, blues ... and the enitire world they call "jazz": The study of "harmony" will never end.
And even accompanying your family singing christmas-songs ... (if you do celebrate christmas):
NO limits! Work out for yourself what you are driven towards, but keep your ears open! 😎👍

Guitar Tuna for tune your guitar (On smartphone), it's easy to take in charge, and if a song is too hard for you, don't worry, play easier for improve without tryhard and come back later to the hardest
gl men))

Looks cool nice buy mens enjoy
2020-11-15 12:50
Its good but I would recommend a more comfortable guitar as your first one. Les pauls are really not for everyone expecially if you've never played guitar before...
2020-11-15 13:06
looks great, i love this electric guitar build, I got one by Ibanez :)
it's never too early to start trying to jam with your friends. practice makes perfect, so just try it.
I would recommend to get proper guitar lessons for the start though. You can even have an online teacher now during corona. It's better to learn the correct way at the start before you start getting used to playing the wrong way.
edit: I didnt look properly, you got a Les Paul kind of guitar, while I got a Hollow Body. Looks similar and great either way

Nice man! From a veteran guitarist, I wish you luck through your journey!
2020-11-16 15:27
ayy nice bro
i never liked les paul mainly because of its lacking comfort, but aesthetically it never spoke to me either. I am more of a Fender type guy, but it's nice to see you getting into playing guitar, gl with it
2020-11-16 15:38
i have one exactly equal... changed the pickups for Seymour Duncan and got a much better sound. but ignore this for now, you need to learn first heh... important, download guitar pro software, its how 99% of electric guitar players learn how to play. you can easily find any music you want in this guitar pro format... its very very simple and useful
2020-11-16 15:42
Don't start with riffs that are too hard, don't get mad if you can't play them instantly, start by playing them slow and pick up the speed when you can
2020-11-16 15:47
To others thinking about buying their first guitar I recommend: don't spend too much on a guitar until you know that you love playing guitar. You won't know you love playing guitar until you get past the basics and start really learning songs and what not.
Guitars are not like computers, the $100 guitar will still play well years later so its best to start out cheap. See if you like it, then when you are super confident you will be playing for a long time then you splurge on your favorite guitars.
To OP that is a nice guitar though. I like Epiphones quite a bit since they do some quality guitars without a "name" charge like some brands... My favorites tend to be Jacksons because they just make awesome guitars that have a lot of character for what you will pay.

very cool guitar mens)) practice hard 👍
2020-11-16 16:31
heres a brotip heaton once told me: Play Hard Go Pro
2020-11-16 16:42
I wish you the best because that's one heck of a starting guitar
2020-11-16 18:52
I always loved the les paul custom look. Good choice. Don't listen to the Gibson fan boys either. I've owned gibsons and tbh they are great guitars but by no means better by 5 times and in the customs case like 7 times.
2020-11-17 19:48
A very nice first guitar! Love the epiphones, my first lady was a epiphone too. A firebird.
The one and only major tip I would give you is that play what you want. Playing guitar or any other instrument is about expressing your feelings. Take your time and have fun! :)
2020-11-17 21:05
why les paul ? It has an impractical design imo but a good starting guitar anyway.
2020-11-17 21:20
i had an epiphone les paul goth as first guitar. great guitar to start with.
2020-11-18 15:55
Nice cat and have fun with it!
