I miss Astralis dominance, It was so schoking when they would not lose a single map during the whole event, and moreover would kill their opponent with scores like 16:9, 16:7, 16:2 etc it was so easy for them, no one could do shit against them.
Yes it was boring then, but now I realise it was perfect CS and interesting to watch. I miss godlike Astralis and want them to back to shit on Vitality,NaVi, BIG,G2 etc really hard, I want them to sweep them all 2:0 with ease.
on the contrary, it will be interesting to see their rise again

Their form is not the same because of this online bullshit era and lineup changes.
It's not only about their form. Sure, their form isn't probably 100% atm but bigger reason is the opponents of 2020 are overall just better than in 2018. CS is now more competitive than ever and I doubt it will be possible for one team to dominate for any extended amount of period. Not even Astralis.

Even Astralis members themselves have said it is much more competitive now. There was only Astralis, Liquid and NaVi with Zeus and Edward in 2018. Now there is new NaVi, Vitality, Complexity, G2 with NiKo, nexa and hunter, Heroic, FURIA, EG etc. etc. Pretty much all in the top 5 competition with Astralis. Ofc some of them will fall come LANs but NaVi, Complexity, Vitality and G2 certainly won't.
This is definitely not the case. CS was even more competitive back then. Online CS has caused turmoil and teams to slack. Astralis was a real force to be reckoned with back then and played some of the best CS in the history of the game. No doubt about that.
And yeah, I wish they got back to their old form. It was such a joy.

Astralis is known to always peek during majors. I mean, look at last yr. they weren't themself before the major .but when the major arrived , they dominated.

You're not wrong tho. And it used to work, CIS teams were able to get some crazy upsets in majors with this kind of mentality. But Astralis has set new standards of strats and zone control so it's getting difficult to just go wild.

when es3tag is getting paid more than you and you have won 3 majors than there is your issue. AST cant pay that type of money why else would just just instantly flip es3tag (even if that was a stupid deal by C9) even when he was the perfect 6th man.

I'm expecting them to come back strong.
The level of strategy, teamplay and dominance they displayed was unseen. But it required so much training and work that it eventually burned them down. I think they still have what it takes but it's difficult to know, mental health issues are tough to pronostic

we cant really tell because of the online shit but they needed a change if they were gonna play online, except they chose more firepower when they had more than enough instead of an igl and picked some caster over zews and kassad
What happened was that Astralis took a tournament break which revolved that the seocond best team of time shwed the same kind of dominance Astralis did, once they pracced

I miss seeing Liquid get nuked by Astralis in every final for almost a full year. Those were great games and Astralis just had the upper hand (every single time).

TL had a choking habit and FaZe was in free fall while the rest of the teams had not enough firepower/shit tactics.
Honestly i stopped watching alot of tournaments during the astralis era...it got boring. It was so easy to predict that astralist was gonna win there just wasn't any enjoyment in watching any tournament they participated in. (Same with the SK and Fnatic era btw)

I don't miss it at all.
Of course it was amazing to see how good a team can be. Playing perfect CS and making it look easy. It was however the most boring era and I hope this never happens again with any team. I want close and exciting matches and tournament where you don't know who is going to win.
I just want LANs to be back.
This online bullshit is actually the worst counter stirke era.
Agree that it was cool to see perfect cs but disagree on missing it. Thank God all dominance is gone.
