Unfortunately, this is not a 1v1 tournament, and 1 player can't carry in all the maps. Vitality was the better team on average, across ALL the 5 maps, definitely. However, s1mple was the better player, considering ALL the 5 maps, on average. Team winning tournaments doesn't really affect the individual rankings, even though it probably will, since they are as close as a hair. (check #37). In the final match (vs Vitality), s1mple had more opening kills than zywoo, more 1vX clutches than zywoo, more multi-kill percentage than Zywoo, more team contribution than Zywoo (KAST), more impact rating than Zywoo, more ADR, more KDR, etc. Even in head-to-head duels, s1mple won against Zywoo (Spunj mentioned). Every single thing. It's just that Shox's aggression on Ovp made the team mentally scared and they lost. Nivera and Apex's aggression caught Navi off-guard on Inferno, and s1mple was always on the wrong place. God Zywoo showed up on mirage in 1st 2 rounds and destroyed them mentally. Only s1mple was hitting shots, and pulling off clutches on Mirage, and he did kinda well. Flamie couldn't win a single 1v1 duel, Perfecto couldn't anchor B even once, boomich called like shit (On T side, 1 go A, 1 go B, 1 go mid and then lose to time. 3 times), never checked corners. Navi had 3 time-outs left, blad3 didn't call in to help out even once. Electronic couldn't shoot players in the back. What can s1mple do alone? When Navi were 0-6 down on D2, he manned up with consecutive quad-kills and full gun round ACE to get Navi back and solo-carried them. He hard carried on Nuke. He can't keep doing it every single time. There's a reason why majority of people (about 75%) voted him as the player of the match. It's just that Zywoo's mirage performance at the end, made people forget what had happened in the remainder of the series :(

Yeah, where did I mention Liquipedia? It's a known fact that Major qualifier events are considered Tier2, regardless of the region. Only main events are S-tier/Tier1. If we only look at the teams participating, then even gamers without borders would be S-tier, since it had BIG, Navi, Faze Clan, Fnatic, NiP, Mousesports, and prize pool of 2 million dollars. But it's irrelevant.
