Hey guys, I've got a lenovo gaming laptop with an i7 9750 H (2.60 Ghz); a GTX 1650 and 16 GB of ram. Yet on low 4:3 aspect ratio at 1280x960, I barely get more than 150 fps on most maps. It'll fluctuate greatly between 90 and 200, and I'm trying to understand why I can't get a lot more.
Any ideas what might be bottlenecking my system? Am I getting expected performance?

Reset Ur Windows, download latest AMD chipset drivers
had 200+ fps in 5v5 on my 6700hq laptop so you should just try tweaking your windows a bit

probably CPU overheating. i got a gtx1650 and i7-9750hf myself and i get ~250 uncapped 1440x1080 (depends on the map) and its fine, but i've seen people with the same cpu get as low as 90fps.
Nothing much you can do about it. Changing thermal paste to liquid metal could help a little, but you might mess up and it void's the warranty.

I heard that undervolt for 9th gen or better is not recommended, but you can do undervolt for GPU, it may help a little, I have an i7 8th gen and I get better fps than you with a 1060, on Full HD, I did only undervolt in CPU. Here goes the things that influence your fps:
The game: video settings and initialization options.
Your hardware: Keep it clean, don't let accumulate dust in the fans, consider changing thermal paste for CPU, undervolt your GPU. Lenovo is an exemplar model for refrigerating, at least here in Brazil, it may not be your problem, i don't know, but monitor your temperature with MSI Afterburner / Intel XTU / Throttle Stop, make sure to do this now and after you make some changes if you are going to do. There are configurations recommended for performance on your GPU and graphic card that you do via Windows.
System: Power plans, game mode, background applications, notifications, initialization and many others, make sure it is always updated. Each option you can do something for more performance, for example: background applications - disable all, notifications - disable all.

if you notice that ur laptop is heating up(i assume that it is)you should buy an external laptop cooler base,if i'm not wrong the processor force it clock to the base clock if the laptop is heating up,which will give you shit performance in cpu clock based games like csgo,if u still don't want to spend money u can use anything to lift ur laptop a little so the hot air won't be blocked by ur desk,u can use novid in csgo,it will probably raise ur fps,search on yt

Bro about the same set up as yours, and what I did to make it 150+ for most of the time is
1. I clean the laptop, and replace the thermal paste (been using it for a year and have not clean it)
2. Lower your rendering settings to like a 2x MSAA, or whatever you feel like that would balance the video quality and the performance
