balanced gaming headset
Europe NiKoGOD4ever
Could you recommend to me a well-balanced headset which is excellent for gaming and listening to music(bass orientated songs) please, I'm coming from a hyper x revolver( need to get changed because of broken left headphone), prize range can be between 100 and 220 euro. Right now I have stopped on SteelSeries Artics Pro wired and Logitech G Pro wired. Please don't comment if you are not competent enough

If you can afford to, don't get a gaming headset full stop. AKG P420 mic and Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones are pretty solid. You'd need an audio interface for the mic work properly though. Pros - much better quality and versatility Cons - costs more

yeah I feel like those brands are scamming people with those overpriced gaming sets but I don't understand the audio stuff so thats why i dont know where to begin my search P.S this model is quite old as well, would u say its a con ?

The p420 is really nice, with professional microphones, age generally isn't a con as long as it's a quality mic. It's always a good idea to read reviews and learn how to operate them before buying as well :) And the Audio Technica headphones are reaaaaally nice with a good balance in terms of sound

What do you mean by an audio interface? Just curious.

one of these: Microphone and other audio inputs go in to the box, box goes into PC. Audio interface is 'the box' in my description of it lmao. They come in a shitload of shapes and sizes, but I just posted this one as a generic entry level one :)

Interesting, I have seen them before but I wasn't sure what they were for. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely get a good pair of headphones ATH-M50x or DT770 and a micropholne. It needs an audio interface but the quality is superior. It is more expensive but so worth it imo.

No, I have Beyerdynamic DT 770, but I also tried ATH-M50x, and they arent really that different. Small differences. I got the DT 770 cos I got a really good deal on them. But can confirm both are great. Cant compare to any gaming headset.

I tought theyd be superexpensive when checking but 120 seems cheap for good ones

10/10 would recommend, they're solid headphones. Took me a while to get used to it as I previously used other headphones with a boosted bass which felt weird, but once you're used to them, the sound is so clean.

An issue I had with my corsair void pro is the microphone does not stay up anymore, it has become loose and tends to fall down.

HyperX Cloud Stinger Pros: very good gaming headset, confortable and nice microphone. also good to hear music Cons: if you have a big hair, when you take it out, its likely to get some strings of hair edit: i have mine since 2018 and it fall it the floor everyday, not broken yet

If you want to listen to music and be pleased DO NOT get a headset. You can get really good headphones like Philips SHP9500 or Status CB-1 alongside a V-moda boom pro for similar or less money than expensive headsets. You'll get MUCH better sound, better build quality, comparable mic in the v-moda. Edit: this setup you can just plug into your pc like a headset EZ

Offtopic : im building a new pc, is an extra soundcard worth it or should I just go with onboard sound?
