So I got the results of a competitive exam yesterday at midnight. I was completely in a good mood cuz I had finished all my assignments and was doing pretty well in school Tests. When I got the competitive exam results, I got in the top 20 percentile but got a low score compared to my friends. I did exceptionally well and high the average in physics, chem, math but I didn't have time to do the mental ability questions and I fucked up hard in time management. I wish I could remove all the fucking pressure.
THE THING THAT FUCKED UP MY ENTIRE MOOD WAS THE FACT THAT MY FRIENDS HAD FUCKING DONE BETTER.
IF ONLY I COULD HAVE TIME MANAGED THE EXAM BETTER
HOW DO U GUYS DEAL WITH THE "PRESSURE" AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND EVEN GETTING BEAT BY YOUR FRIENDS.

dont let jealousy take over you and make you emotional. Congratulate you friends and be happy for them and in the end you are living YOUR life for yourself and aslong you are getting good results it shouldnt bother you if someone is gonna shittalk you because you didnt have the best results. If they do that then I would not consider them friends.

Nah , they dont shit talk me. They even consoled me when i had a fucking breakdown. Its just that I'm disappointed in myself

You are competitive, thats good but can also plant bad seeds of thought into your head where you think that people will think less of you if you dont perform the best. Caring less and building natural confidence will help you be more stoic and not overreact over something that in itself isnt even a problem. 💪

When I went to school, I actually really enjoyed the pressure of examinations, I also prepared like crazy, to a point where I was extremely confident about everything I would be tested on, that was my method of coping with stress.

What? It was the only option I had, if I didn't do well I would be living in India and I would not be happy with that. Those years of hard work pretty much guaranteed that the rest of my life can be much more comfortable.

I'm not sure if this is some weird bait, but that isn't how anything works. Exams are difficult and insanely competitive, you can't just study for 1 year and expect to get full marks. I sacrificed those years so that I could have a good future, and that has worked out perfectly, I'm pretty much living the best life I could be.

but i just wanna say youre living the best life possible PERHAPS in your idea but there isnt a certainty to it.....and there might be slight chance in someone else's or even in your mind that you look back and a gasp is let go of what you lost, but more importantly, "WHAT FOR"
and the "what for" as far as i can infer is explained in your minds with the green bucks in your pocket, but was the idea of it framed by your mind in sanity
and the low standard of assertion in your words suggest that i shldnt be differing between the category i mentioned and the person i referred them to
in the end, i just wanna say everythings well if it ends well, youre living a happy life, it was and will always be worth it

Nah,they actually mean a lot when u write a real exam. I'm not talking about your daily school math tests. I'm talking about the nationwide tests. I just feel stupid for overestimating my abilities.
Ig This is my first experience of a real nation-wide competitive exam and at least I have learnt a lesson of managing my time during the exam. I'm pretty young and still have a long time before I start writing career-defining exams.
