Even though it is still not over and might not be (even if KAGA2020 looks less likely by the passing day), what did you think about Trump's presidency? I for one thought he did well, what is your opinion? Let me hear down below and we can have an respectful argument, no matter from where you come from on the political spectrum.

he killed them because the american anarchists decided to kill themselves in the streets and loot shops instead of staying safe in their homes. he killed them because america has one of the smallest death per infected ratio in the world due to their superior care and infrastructure trump created. you cant expect the leftists to live in the real world. a big number of cases is not the president's fault, it's the people's. a big death/inf ratio would be the president's fault. trump can't shut down the country and destroy people's lives. he wanted people to be able to feed their children but his problem were the bioterrorists infecting everyone and destroying the country in the process. the only way he could have saved the country from those deaths was by shooting the rioters or by forcing everyone to stay inside but, he is not a communist unlike biden's party.

He was great for the economy, promoting peace and bringing the troops home, but his personality and past actions were very divisive. If people were to look at his actions as president instead of him as a person, and he wasn't so stubborn he'd probably be viewed as a very good president, but his promotion of unrest and idiocy on twitter as well as constantly downplaying covid (which, let's be real here, isn't as deadly or dangerous as the media makes it out to seem) ultimately lead to his downfall. It's a shame, if China didn't create the virus to get CCP Joe elected he'd probably serve a second term and do great things for the US economy. He never did anything to infringe on LGBT rights (no matter what the liberal media will have you believe), but his deregulation and rhetoric definitely showed his lack of interest in tackling global warming (which may or may not be real, the science is still very much up for debate). All in all, he did some very good things but his personality and constant harassment by the media makes his public image much worse than he is in reality. EDIT: It is not within the federal government's constitutional right to enforce lockdowns or masks, he was doing what the constitution gave him the power to do.

I think there were some notable policy achievements: Economy doing well pre-Covid, and new trade deals Foreign policy / Middle East The border wall Pro-life policies (something that is important to me) FIghting back against China I think there's been a heck of a lot of chaos, some within the WH, some outside, that has made the whole time a bit stressful on some levels. It's been clear from the start that the game has been stacked against Trump, and he's had to fight a heck of a lot of headwinds: A mainstream media who hates him (90% + negative coverage) Big tech against him (censorship) BLM/Antifa nonsense A Democrat party who has gone totally crazy and doesn't have much interest in bipartisanship RINOs in his own party The bogus Russia investigation The trumped-up, fake impeachment Trump is tough, make no mistake about it. If Biden is sworn in he will benefit greatly from things that Trump has done: Operation Warp Speed with the vaccines The fact that Covid will stop eventually Good economy pre-Covid Increased military spending Middle East peace, and side-lining Iran and the Palestinians If there was fraud/cheating/irregularities in this election, I hope they find them and the right result occurs. I would like Trump to win again ofc.
2020-11-27 23:16
Thought Bush was the worst president of my lifetime, but Trump easily takes the top slot. The most incompetent, corrupt, president in history.

Destroyed our government's system of checks-and-balances, replaced experts with loyalists, removed environmental protections, waged a propaganda war that brainwashed 40 percent of the country, destroyed the economy through a disastrous pandemic response, destabilized world peace, ignored human rights abuses enabling the Saudis and Russians to do whatever they wanted, lied constantly about everyone and everything, blew up our deficit with tax handouts to the donor class, eroded our trust in democracy through blatant lies about voter fraud, manipulated his powers in office to obstruct lawful processes and bully nations into supporting his re-election efforts... In four short years, we've turned into an idiocracy. Biggest economic crisis since the great depression, half the country thinks the virus is a hoax, wealth inequality has become unsustainably comical, and we're heading towards an environmental catastrophe that he massively contributed to

i will come back to this, because you have very good arguments. Some things i will say is that 1: Yes, Trump was in the wrong to let the Saudis run wild behind his back, 2: "eroded our trust in democracy through blatant lies about voter fraud" that was what the democrats were doing ever since 2016 up untill election night anyways good arguments and i can certainly agree on some of these, but i disagree with some aswell.

The difference about the democrat lies about voter fraud is that Hillary conceded the election and didn't spread them, and there was actual evidence of russian misinformation targeting voters for the benefit of trump
2020-11-27 23:44
1 reply
Hillary conceded yes but still her claiming voter fraud probably made the left-wing media continue on the trend of "voter fraud" before Trump solidified his control of the White House/being inaugurated. I also find it ironic how the whole Russian misinformation was debunked by the Trump administration (i assume since it probably was part of the Russia investigation) but not the Media actually misinformed the public in this election which certainly "rigged" the election against Trump. That is what he means when he says "rigged election" on the Media, he knows he kinda lost already, but it's Trump so he won't go down without a fight though.
2020-11-28 10:22
"Biggest economic crisis since the great depression" That is not Trump's fault. The rest of the world is facing the same economic crisis that the US is. So saying that Trump is the reason for The Biggest economic crisis since the great depression is just wrong.

Nah, a good leader would have subsidized a lockdown to help small businesses stay afloat during the pandemic. Instead the Trump plan was a cash-grab for corporations. Now half the mom-and-pop businesses in the area are shuttered and not coming back. It was completely predictable, economists were calling for government action, and instead we got rule-by-corruption, as usual.
2020-11-27 23:58

The small businesses in Sweden got money from the government and they still could not keep the stores open. Sweden has had everything open until now just for the sole purpose of saving our economy but that is no longer an option if we want to have any older people survive. So our economy is fucked either way. I don't see your point in that trump is the reason for your small stores closing and going bankrupt. Not after seeing the other option play out in real time.
2020-11-28 00:22
1 reply
The other option?
2020-11-28 00:22
Lockdowns do not help small businesses either, and Trump isn't a socialist, he doesn't give subsidies as he does not want government action in the economy, whether if it's bad for the country or not.
2020-11-28 10:23
1 reply
If you're going to keep things open with no lockdown, at least advocate for rigorous testing, widespread mask usage, common sense safety measures, etc... Not only did Trump not do any of that, he actively ridiculed any attempt to take the virus seriously because he was afraid it would make him look bad. We got a president who had zero strategy whatsoever except to deny that the virus was even a problem while privately admitting that it was five times deadlier than the flu. And the lockdowns are a short-term safety measure to "flatten the curve", i.e. prevent the country's health infrastructure from being overwhelmed (at which point, deaths would skyrocket). Obviously long-term lockdowns are not practical If you keep things open like Trump did, while taking zero public safety measures, you have a worst-of-both-worlds approach where people are going about their business as usual, living in complete denial Compare the US coronavirus figures with the rest of the world's and you'll see the damage Trump's delusional approach had on the population
2020-11-28 10:53
didn't do very well cut taxes on the super wealthy during good economic times, which cut trillions of tax dollars over the next 10 years, for 300 billion dollars of economic growth in the next decade fumbled the coronavirus response by having no national plan and having a weak stimulus failed to "drain the swamp", in fact pardoning multiple people connected to him who were convicted of lying under oath failed to build the wall, only making a 1/2 mile of new wall failed to "repeal obamacare and replace it with something better", instead just making it worse with no replacement raised the national deficit more than obama did nothing to stop the opioid epidemic got rid of a lot of climate regulations, harming the environment for a small amount of economic growth helped the spread of fake news (posted fake news from a right wing source that was banned on youtube for posting a fake coronavirus cure) still hasn't conceded the election and made a fool of himself with his horrible lawyers and pointless lawsuits did nothing to help wealth inequality, helping the rich get richer and the poor get poorer didn't try to pass any police reform despite nationwide riots He did do well in foreign policy, getting the US less involved in the middle east, but I don't think it outweighs his failures overall 3/10 president, not the worst but bottom 10.

What about forgetting left and right and talking about the topic itself? Good things: kept the economy (that was already) growing up until the covid; didn't start wars although the trade wars brought some uncertainty and tension to the market; due to that reach amazing unemployment rates.... Bad things: literally divided the country and now there's a internal unarmed war between supporters and non supporters; the silence towards human rights (specially towards black people) made the country have a social crise in the beginning of a pandemic and made the country clearly show its racism to the world; put in question the democracy of the country when he's more worried about losing an election than support the recover of the country itself with the next presidency (a complete child, bad loser, of he actually have proof about fraud just show it a he will be the president next year); wanted negative interest rates that the congress didn't approve (just look at the impact of negative interest rates in japan); he's not directly responsible for the covid19 deaths but definitelly one of the responsible for the country to hit the number it got (imagine minimizing the virus at the beginning of it); put in tension agreements with allied countries for years (like Canada)... I don't live there, and I know not so much about it, but seeing from outside economically wise it was great. But is it really the most important thing when the social is going to shit? IMO no, but people can have different opinions. Ps: when was the last us president that was relected? If Trump is so good why wasn't he?
2020-11-28 00:44
Pros: -no wars -good economy until covid cons: -did fuck all else -no wall and mexico paying for it -mishandled covid (although he wasn't wholly to blame, a lot of that falls on democrats too) -big tech and the media has grown more powerful than ever under his watch -complained about election fraud in 2016 btw, and if that was true it's his own fucking fault if there was fraud this time for sitting on his hands for 4 years -didn't drain the swamp -gargles Netanyahu's balls -just in general a fat orange retard i expect all of these to get worse under Biden, but still Trump's been pretty shit.

he doesn't have to make it mandatory but a lot of his cult following would wear one if he explicitly told them to, instead he's gone back and forth on it as for the whole "I wanted to downplay it" thing, although on one hand that stops mass panic, on the other it makes a lot of people take it less seriously not the best position to be in when a large part of your base is a bunch of at risk boomers

I also find it ironic how Democrats dislike Trumps corona response but then turn a blind eye when blue states have had the worst and most ineffective corona responses.

Didn't start wars and was good for the economy. Also stood up to China somewhat. Did not stand up to Erdogan. Handled covid badly. If his personality and behavior weren't so goddamn terrible, he might have gotten a second term. His staff should have just not let him go on twitter at all. Also crying about the election, just take the L and go out with some dignity.

Hmm i kinda agree except on his corona response, he did shut down travel to China but chose not to give himself more power (which would've actually been what the left-wing media wished for so they could have a "legitimate" reason to call him a fascist) but instead, let the coronavirus be handled locally from case to case (which actually is far better solution than one federal solution that Biden advocates), which i admire.
