You fake that you are owner of phone number with the telecom and they provide you a new sim or port the phone number to an existing other sim card. For example you ay you lost phone. Then you are in control of the phone number that's used for 2FA
Basically need ot scam the telecom that your are the owner of phone number

doesnt hurt to have an extra layer of security. its faster to type in than steam guard code

if someone gets on your account somehow they wont be able to do anything if they dont guess the 4 digit code you made. i think everyone should enable it, it took me 30 seconds to turn it on.
