How much harder would it be to reach a good mm rank (lem, supreme, global) with 60hz as opposed to higher resfresh monitors?
Is it at all possible to reach lvl 10 with 60hz?
If you're always on 60Hz, it's probably possible, but if you play 144Hz all the time, then turn to 60Hz, will be difficult.

If you will stick with 60hz you will adjust in like a month. If you are switching between the 2 than its really hard otherwise not really. Once you get used to it you dont notice it that much. Same goes for sensitivity. If you change it every hour or day you are going to feel it once you get used to it you wont care.

I play on 60hz since ever, and let me tell you, it sucks, when you reach the level of semi pros its almost impossible to get a kill against a 144hz or 240hz peeking, + in pistols you will suck and play some rng taps...
I miss the time when people played 1.6 on CRT monitors and everyone had the same gear,nowadays it is pay to win as fuck.
Gaming industry sucks, they inflate their prices because we need these things to be able to play fair, CRT monitors they can reach 155hz on low res, and they were cheap as fuck, so there is no reason to be so expensive.

As mentioned you can get to FPL using 60hz i know ropz is extremly talented but still its not the equpment until FPS comes to play. Its what you are used to. When gaming gear was coming out lots of pros opted out because they were used to trash microsoft mouses. What good is 700€ monitor when you arent used to it. Ofcourse 144hz is better but saying you cannot win with 60hz is straight up lie. Ping and FPS are thing that holds you down a lot more than refresh rate of your screen
yea i had top tier crt monitor that could reach 240hz. it was so advantageous that you won most peeks against everybody online at the time.

old crt monitors reached high frequencies like 144hz (and higher) easy. 144hz isnt anything new.
+1. I still use 1440x900 75 hz monitor for my second pc. It was bought in 2008 by my parents along with pc. Don't see any reason to upgrade it for full hd or even 2k monitor because the gpu that i have pretty bad for 2020. I mean, if i set 1440x900 resolution for fullhd monitor the picture will be blurry, but for monitor with 1400x900 max resolution the picture looks sharp and smooth.

fps are more important depends how many fps u have, i think if u have 500 fps 60 hz not big problem, you can always overcome opponent tactically, and not even that, you can do different shooting strategy like different spray non flicks where hz dont matter so much, other example, i have low fps , yesterday by accident i learn pop flashed gonna be easy rank up soon. And im sure there is like million other ways tactics to get high rank.
Not hard at all. Reached level 10 with 60hz but it is just a shit experience compared to when i went to 144/240hz.

+1, ur just more inconsistent, just play at a bit of a disadvantage but if ur good enough u can manage it for sure...ropz reached fpl with 60hz...i dont even come close to that with my 72 but im not as gifted lol

game looks completely different on a 144hz but it doesn't really give you advantage , just looks prettier and smoother and you need a better computer to get your fps at constant 250+

i have ~200fps stable the thing i would like to feel the most with high refresh rate screen is this smoothness of the mouse that people talk about cause i have 150$ mouse and cant really feel it the way i want it to :( when you've played the game so much every bit of an input lag is noticeable i dont play that often anymore but will probably get one soon its cheap nowadays thx for the motivation
global is ez with 60hz but you still need good fps (200+)
i used to play 40Hz csgo and spray control was a pain

I was global elite on 60hz and 100-150fps lul in 400 hours of gameplay. Dropped to supreme few weeks ago. 8eur mousepad 25eur mouse 20 eur headset ez
64 tick is very close to 60hz so i guess the diff will be marginal. Favit however is 128 tick so you def will loose more than half the ticks

im supreme and i play in a 60hz laptop, everything is possible.
If you can get used to it, 60hz should be no problem. However after I switched to 144hz I got much much more consistent, so I'm not sure if its a monitor difference of something else.
I reached LEM playing with 60Hz and 30fps, so there's that
I was DMG with 70-80 ping 60hz 40-60 fps maybe you can do better if you have lower ping or better fps

I don't notice a big difference. I played 60hz long time and reached supreme with 100-150 ping, because before there were no servers in my country, it could only play on NA or Brazil servers, then I got bored with the game.
I say if you play well at 60hz, don't think you will play much better at 144hz.
It will be very easy to reach GE. I reached GE with 75 fps @75 hz couple of years ago when Faceit wasn't this popular and a lot of good players were still playing matchmaking. Now most of these good players play Faceit so only weak players left in mm. In short, if i reached it, so can u. A Global Elite player who only plays mm is not very good.
But i dont think it is easy to hit Level 10 with 60hz, especially if you solo q. There are very tough players in Faceit.

i think i played on an old viewsonic vg920 overclocked to 80hz on 1280x1024 when i got global... :()
tried 60hz on my other monitor and the 80hz one felt sooooo much better, but i suppose it should since its a 33% increase in hz :()
