You're gonna have to mine for ever to get your investment back. You should invest your $100 directly in BTC instead of mining gear.

I just checked again and it could be worth it if you don't pay for electricity. You can make around $1,70/day with the AntMiner L3++ (if you mine BTC). But it costs around $170 to buy one. It's very loud tho, basically like a car lol

I guess a cheap l3+ or l3++ would be your best option but be aware that asics are very very loud.

Yes but its all relative to what algorithm the hardware mines. Modern sha256 aka bitcoin asics hash 78 TH/s while old antminer s9's hash 14.5 TH/s. Scrypt aka litecoin asics haven't really had any new releases so a innosilicon a4+ hashing 620 MH/s will technically be the best hardware available despite the asic being old. (Sorry for necro)
