The safety cell is designed to break away from the engine and gearbox in impacts of that intensity but I'm amazed that he was able to jump out of that.
Grosjean hit something at the start and his car literally burst into flames. He's out of the car and being taken to the hospital but seems to be alright.
I never minded it as much as most people did. Thought it looked cool from some angles and ugly from some but never doubted it's purpose but I would argue up and down for its purpose, and never understood people saying that it was taking away from the excitement by reducing the danger.
Probably would've without the halo. Also it looked like the fuel cell didn't separate from the survival cell like it's supposed to, it should've been the rear of the car bursting into flames.
