Player refuses to pay tribute to Maradona

You might not agree with the man, but he has died. Why not be respectful for the family and, after the game, in a interview, say that you don't support what he has done? I think that her action was extreme, though I'm not Maradona's fan, I still showed my respect and didn't say "Deserved; I won't say RiP because he's a bad example etc". Yet, here we are: somebody almost cheering for his death. Shameful, in my thinking givemesport.com/1623170-diego-maradona-f..

What kind of logic is that? It's her choice, thousands of people die everyday

"almost cheering for his death." i dont know about that, lack of condolences does not mean cheering

I ain't saying I agree with what he has done, I even said I ain't his fan, but I didn't root for his death. It's almost as if we should have rooted for George Floyd's death, no, just respect the family at the time

Would you like to your family member's death to be seen as good? Don't do to others what you don't want to be done to you

who tells u who to grief for? what kind of a shit show is the world becoming? ofc he reaction is based on attention and shit. but who cares. the only good thing what i got from jordan peterson quotes is ! if every person has his own house in order, we wouldn't have any problems in this world cuz no one has his own house in order and every one would be to busy cleaning after his own mess.

Since when paying tributes is mandatory?

well when you're under contract and your team as a collective is doing something usually there's an implied obligation to go along with it like when basketball teams protest or the football kneeling thing, players who chose not to follow the rest of their team usually faced consequences for it. So for PR reasons it can be mandatory a lot

If that's the case, even more respect for her. Sticking to principles despite possible consequences

"For the victims, there was not a minute of silence,” Dapena was quoted saying by Goal.com, “so obviously I am not willing to keep a minute of silence for an abuser and that it should not be done for the victims.” Stopped reading after this

seems like she's just sticking to her principle

well done, man known for cheating, coke addiction, sexual abuse and pedophilia got away with no consequences, people should take turns to spit in his grave honestly

maradona questionable player. And even worse person. NT may he rot in hell
2020-11-30 17:29
And her team got ripped apart by opponents 10-0.. Imagine speaking to journalists after that thing.
2020-11-30 17:34
good for her. you dont have to respect somebody just because they are good at football.
2020-11-30 17:35
The values are pretty much screwed in this world right now.. she is right in positioning herself, we have to stop to idolizing douchebags and separate their achievements of what they really were.. Same will happen with Oscar Pistorius, Oj Simpson, Bill Cosby, Mike Tyson, Charlie Sheen..
