Yes, his stats aren't better taking all the events into account together. I never disagreed with that. I was talking about the filtered ratings they consider, as I mentioned before (#80
, 2nd paragraph), most importantly ratings "at the highest level of competition" aka big events/elite events, where s1mple has a significant lead. They prioritized this for KrimZ. In addition, they tend to prioritize the TopX, where X is 5,10,20, 30 where their ratings are different.
I am not depreciating/appreciating anything. I am not expressing my opinions at all. I just told you exactly what Striker said HLTV was gonna do. Check my 2nd last thread, 2nd image, for that. I just conveyed the message.
What I said in #23
is mostly because of his MVPs, which obviously means I am not personally depreciating anything. According to what Prof and Striker said about HLTV's rankings, Katowice and its MVP is like a Major MVP, carrying the biggest weight. Also, "RMR events will be depreciated, regardless of the region", implying 2 out of his 6 are depreciated (again, I am not the one saying that). What we can guess is, since Navi was 2nd and Vitality was 3rd, RMR events are depreciated a lot. Otherwise, Vitality would have been ahead.
Now, if you recall, there's only 2 events in 2020 where Navi/s1mple wasn't in play-offs (one is a CIS RmR, and other being ESL One Cologne). For the rest, if you check player stats and team placings, s1mple has 7 EVPs. If you do the same for ZywOo, since they bombed out of 3 big events, ZywOo has 4 important MVPs, 2 RmR MVPs, and 2 EVPs. s1mple has 2 important MVPs (one of which is very important, as confirmed), 0 RMR MVPs (no MVPs in CIS), and 7 EVPs. Once again, I am not giving my opinions about this. This is a fact - EVPs are important. Electronic was top4/top6 with 0 MVPs and a few EVPs. 2 EVPs at EPL-11 and Katowice was "alone enough" for Krimz to be "above the peaks of many players". Hence, this makes it very close. That's all I said.
