The problem with this is that authoritarian regimes typically only work for the people in charge - they use the power to give themselves benefits. Example: all of your oligarchs. Yes it's efficient, for them. They can make lots of good decisions quickly but they make bad ones even more so. It is not good for the citizens like you.
