That's because they have an IGL of the same caliber as karrigan and gla1ve.
If OG actually had firepower they would have won IEM NY and FP2 and possibly won a true elite level event with all the stacked big teams like astralis, vitality etc etc in the running.

To be fair I consider aleksib to be an upgraded and much improved version of karrigan at least tactically. You need a more structured leading style going to 2021 an onward to win big titles against astralis and vitality anyway.
All he needs is actually reliable tier 1 individuals on the roster and the trophies will come.
Ever since that blast madrid 2019 where ENCE basically won 3-0 in maps against astralis (nuke, train, dust2) I was actually seeing aleksib outcalling gla1ve himself and always thought its going to be great if you see this guy with good enough firepower on his team. ENCE sort of had it just barely, but there were internal issues already then apparently that we all know by now.

But i think OG are happy with what they achieved for their first year , top 10 atm and good performances sometimes , they have a lot of work to do even they said that.

There are 12 places left, 100% in this list will be 10 people: S1mple, Zywoo, device, Niko, blameF, ropz, electronic, Elige, Syrson, stavn,
There are 2 places left for at least 3 people, who were 100% better than Krimz: Dupreeh, Magisk, k0nfig.
Plus a lot of people who were no worse than krimz: mantuu, Valde, Xantares, mir, Naf, shox, Cadian, Tabsen etc.
But some of them do not get into the top 20, because hltv decided to put Krimz in this top for some strange reason,

Many things matter, and if a player does well on everything, they get a great rank. When somethings are amiss, their rank goes down. Hunter had a decent rating in elite events, but he had the lowest play-offs rating in the entire Top20 list so far. So, he couldn't go higher than 13th. I don't know Xantares's play-offs rating, but his elite events rating is low. That being said, he has many accolades, and overall ratings aren't too bad. It is possible for him to get 12th or so, in case other players have the overall sum lesser than his.
no they surely dont do that. they weight stats from big events WAAAY more than overall stats vs top50 teams. thats why krimz was there and thats why xantares most likely wont be there

Rankings are dead for me since basically 2018 when they decided, for the first time ever, that team achievements are 100% irrelevant for the rankings, while they had been the deciding factor in previous years.
