You can draw conclusions from these stats. For example, ZywOo doesn’t AWP a lot in 2020 compared to other star awpers like Dev1ce and s1mple. This was known if you watched demos or games but the stats show it too. He’s more of a hybrid of any other player right and plays the rifle more or the SMGs like the mp9 more. He also barely uses other more expensive pistols and uses the default ones the most while being the best pistol player of 2020. Barely plays the scout but still has a lot of kills on it (wut ?). That is not normally…
Quite effective even with low usage.
Device awps a decent amount and rifles quite a lot, he doesn’t buy other pistols besides the tech9 or the deagle. He doesn’t use the scout a lot, thrice less than s1mple but seems to have a lot more kills on it, a bit like Zywoo. Decent and effective with % usage but s1mple and ZywOo have more kills or KD. Despite this, dev1ce has some weapons were he is the most effective with low usage.
S1mple ,on the other hand, doesn’t use the default pistols, 30 kills with the glock in 2020, and uses more expensive pistols with higher % compared to the other 2 : deagle, p250, CZ, etc.
It’s the same story with rifles, he barely uses mid-tier rifles and pretty much only plays the prenium/expensive guns like AK, M4, AUG, Krieg and doesn’t play any SMG except for the Scout where he has a whooping 6.33% usage which is huge (it’s close to Syrson the best scout player of the year and a real awp specialist).
S1mple uses the AWP quite a lot with almost 45% awp usage which is a lot too compared to ZywOo and a bit more than Device. He’s a sniper specialist.
A lot of people have claimed that s1mple gets dropped every round/ buy kelvar everyround and they’re not far from the truth here. Na’Vi put every ressources into him, the same goes for money.
That money comes from mainly perfecto (one of the best famas player of the year, RPK is #1) hltv.org/stats/players/weapon/16947/perf..

Who play a bit more of the lower-end rifles, SMGs, prenium pistols etc.
To me, it would interesting to see the amount of Kelvar bought during 2020, I was would be genuinely impressed to see if players in hard or supporting roles get the same amount of equipment/money than players in easier, better positions.

It happened in 2018, I was playing some DM to warm up and shit but then XANTARES joined and started to kill me. I told him I wasn't feeling well, but he didn't stop, he couldn't... I even used the safe word but he kept one tapping me. (the safe word was "onliner").
His response was "I don't care. I want it now." the headshots he gave me was terrifying. he one tap me down while I was crying and begging him to stop. When he was finished, he didn't even recognize what he had done. I tried to explain what he did to me, what he did wrong. he had absolutely no remorse.
I called BULLYHUNTERS, BULLYHUNTER 47 joined the game but XANTARES raped him too...
I had dealt with some mental health issues after that and stopped playing CSGO at all. Since back then I'm afraid of joining any DM sessions because I feel like XANTARES will come and rape me again.
After the incident, I told everything to the police... Their response was "What are you talking about ?" the looks they gave me were terrifying. I was lost my hope, as soon as I walked back to the door one of the officers called me "noob" and "fetöcü". The same night that police officer sent a comment on my Steam profile that says "R U lookin up for some matchmaking ;)" which is harassment and rape...
I feel so vulnerable and fragile... I know there are more victims hiding but if I did you can do it too! Let's unite and fight back together against these rapist pro players!

In my opinion he shouldn't have it considering the filter they use isn't the famous "elite" filter which I posted a thread about but another where s1mple has worse stats than ZywOo overall.
I mean it makes sense, you can't really use a filter where no NA players are present LOL. I think they'll just use it as an excuse for the top 8 and build up narratives on that on why should X player be ranked over Y player but I don't really like it. The filter itself and how it is decided is under wraps/shady. We didn't get an official post about it probably because more people would have pointed its flaws.

I can confirm that the first para is a wrong assumption. The front cover highlights the basic stats (according to an undisclosed setting), and that's the place to start analyzing the players. It is NOT the deciding factor for rankings. If they were making the list based on those ratings, many players that we see, wouldn't be here. When I sent about 7 different stat-line filters to prof for confirmation, he said that what I had done was a basic step in analysis :D And that's where they start. The distinction decisions are much more comprehensive. For the front-page highlight of the Ranking article, they just choose one stat-line, notable stats and achievements. But, they are NOT necessarily the deciding factors. It was confirmed by Tw1grill (or whatever his name is :D)

Yes I already talked about that as well. I knew there were a lot of other parameters but I did my post back then to try and explain a bit why the filter was flawed and why it was unlikely it was going to heavely impact their decisions.

No, they are not :D It seems that way because the numbers are often close, but some components aren't, for any of the players.

As you can see, the annual rating often matches, but not all the components. This is the case for every player. Prof told me that even for the stat highlight front-page for every player, they don't have a rating list available on this site. They use certain tweaks on certain events, that aren't public. So, the numbers we see, are often close, but not all of them. For some players, it almost completely matches, while it might be very different for some players.

Well thanks I didn't know that. I just checked rating for rating like an idiot while there are many components within each sub category (introduced with rating 2.0).

Professeur mentioned that they choose to highlight a player's annual average stats (for the events and filters they secretly choose) on the front page of the HLTV articles. However, "if you believe this rating list is what's going to decide the ranks, you are wrong" :D They consider very specific set of stats, which aren't all public. Two things that are confirmed - 1) big events and elite events 2) Their playoffs. Even within them, although rating is supreme, they choose to "highlight" important components, rather than just saying the rating. That's because, it's obviously one or more of the components that change the overal score. The deciding components are highlighted. That' all about stats. About achievements, they haven't given an objective answer for this year (as my 2nd-last thread shows).
Once again, it feels great to discuss this stuff with someone. I discuss stats and stuff only with a handful of people on HLTV, since very few people seem to understand. You are great :)

Well thanks haha ! :) it's greater for me to talk to you too, you make problems and answers clearer. It's indeed pertinent to consider certain stats more than others, I'm glad you confirmed they're doing it in depth. The previous year was a bit more straight forward and easier to access to, especially when some HLTV users made the Playoff ratings of the whole year for all the players. Absolute mad lads haha.
But this year, it's indeed harder to get informations or even stats for that matter if you don't ask directly, fortunately you are one of the only people who did and I'm greatful, thank you ! :)

You could talk to them yourself. Some are quite responsive. Professeur is very to-the-point robotic type in his answers, while Striker is quite friendly and interactive. Petar (Tw1gril or something :D) is kinda less responsive (he's the big boss). Others like Miraa, LucasAM are also friendly. Newer mods like david, martin, lustedsilli are cool, although not much knowledgeable. And finally, we have JonathanE as well :D (I only message him to take action against someone, when I feel that some user is doing something very wrong :D)

it does quite a lot actually in terms %. These players use other rifles like the galil, famas, Krieg and AUG in s1mple's case. Zywoo uses rifles more than the other 2 de facto ! I just linked all the stats btw. I already knew it but HLTV provides the proof, not me^^.

It's a quizz, copy/paste the first sheet with 25 questions and answer it, it can be done in under 2 minutes if you're fast. Just have to type what you think, out of the top 3 players, uses a gun more or killed more people with it.

Well I hate that playstyle too but Na'Vi is playing like, I won't and can't try to change their mind. It's just that we've seen an example with Vitality of alternatives of using a star player. If you've got a player who is better than others mechanically, why support him even more ? Instead of letting him support the team and do his thing selfless on the map like ZywOo does.
That's 2 schools of CS and it's clear as day into which one I am.

You can draw conclusions from these stats. For example, ZywOo doesn’t AWP a lot in 2020 compared to other star awpers like Dev1ce and s1mple. This was known if you watched demos or games but the stats show it too. He’s more of a hybrid of any other player right and plays the rifle more or the SMGs like the mp9 more. He also barely uses other more expensive pistols and uses the default ones the most while being the best pistol player of 2020. Barely plays the scout but still has a lot of kills on it (wut ?). That is not normally…
Quite effective even with low usage.
Device awps a decent amount and rifles quite a lot, he doesn’t buy other pistols besides the tech9 or the deagle. He doesn’t use the scout a lot, thrice less than s1mple but seems to have a lot more kills on it, a bit like Zywoo. Decent and effective with % usage but s1mple and ZywOo have more kills or KD. Despite this, dev1ce has some weapons were he is the most effective with low usage.
S1mple ,on the other hand, doesn’t use the default pistols, 30 kills with the glock in 2020, and uses more expensive pistols with higher % compared to the other 2 : deagle, p250, CZ, etc.
It’s the same story with rifles, he barely uses mid-tier rifles and pretty much only plays the prenium/expensive guns like AK, M4, AUG, Krieg and doesn’t play any SMG except for the Scout where he has a whooping 6.33% usage which is huge (it’s close to Syrson the best scout player of the year and a real awp specialist).
S1mple uses the AWP quite a lot with almost 45% awp usage which is a lot too compared to ZywOo and a bit more than Device. He’s a sniper specialist.
A lot of people have claimed that s1mple gets dropped every round/ buy kelvar everyround and they’re not far from the truth here. Na’Vi put every ressources into him, the same goes for money.

Who play a bit more of the lower-end rifles, SMGs, prenium pistols etc.
To me, it would interesting to see the amount of Kelvar bought during 2020, I was would be genuinely impressed to see if players in hard or supporting roles get the same amount of equipment/money than players in easier, better positions.

It happened in 2018, I was playing some DM to warm up and shit but then XANTARES joined and started to kill me. I told him I wasn't feeling well, but he didn't stop, he couldn't... I even used the safe word but he kept one tapping me. (the safe word was "onliner").
His response was "I don't care. I want it now." the headshots he gave me was terrifying. he one tap me down while I was crying and begging him to stop. When he was finished, he didn't even recognize what he had done. I tried to explain what he did to me, what he did wrong. he had absolutely no remorse.
I called BULLYHUNTERS, BULLYHUNTER 47 joined the game but XANTARES raped him too...
I had dealt with some mental health issues after that and stopped playing CSGO at all. Since back then I'm afraid of joining any DM sessions because I feel like XANTARES will come and rape me again.
After the incident, I told everything to the police... Their response was "What are you talking about ?" the looks they gave me were terrifying. I was lost my hope, as soon as I walked back to the door one of the officers called me "noob" and "fetöcü". The same night that police officer sent a comment on my Steam profile that says "R U lookin up for some matchmaking ;)" which is harassment and rape...
I feel so vulnerable and fragile... I know there are more victims hiding but if I did you can do it too! Let's unite and fight back together against these rapist pro players!

Hard to say but Na'Vi playing that much around s1mple means you shouldn't blame his teammates when Na'Vi loses, all of 5 of them are on the same team and it's unfair when you have a bad day and game, while playing anchor on B or support with low-quality equipment and people expect you to drop the same numbers of star players who have better positions, equipment etc.
Na'Vi is embracing that playstyle, which I personaly don't like at all because you can't really know whether or not on a round, it's overkill and putting rifles on other players would win you the round. You can't control that, but playing as a team, feeling good on your positions, doing hard roles on some maps and easier on others; playing with similar equipment, having good chemistry and strats. All of that can be controlled.
It's 2 ways to utilize a star-player, Vitality already tried the first method (though not half as what Na'Vi is putting into s1mple) and changed this year and I think it looks better for them as ZywOo pretty much puts the same stats on the board with worse equipment, support and no setup from his team. It makes sense in a way. Why would you support a player who is already better than the players on the enemy team, he'll make a difference either way.

Both work. I have krieg skins si I know they call it sg553 too but on HLTV it's sg556 (it's kinda the same thing IRL).
