Are valve out of their minds? They actually give PGL another major after that shitshow that was PGL Krakow 2017. That thing was just bad in so many aspects ( I was there to widness it) how are they getting another major to destroy. Also the first major since Covid-19? Is this just me? What do you guys think?

I mean they dont do many tournaments full stop. But i'd say the issues that occurred in the first can easily be rectified. I also think the effort put into this major will be unrivaled

PGL Playoffs: - Seemingly more delays then playtime - Sent the audience home during Big-Immortals cause they failed to get their schedule right - Most Stewards did not speak english (I had to ask other audience members what was going on, when they were throwing us out, cause stewards could not answer me) - Website to book tickets was polish, you could only pay in zloty and it broke down multiple times; customer support was not there - even more delay times - did i mention delay times?

I mean if ELEAGUE still did CSGO I'd be happy with them, theyre majors went great in terms of production. Right now ESL is probably one of the few TOs, that actually want to hold a major and are good at it, but that has nothing to do with them being German for me.

1. Source? 2. Tbf only looking at production, not accounting for scheduling, delays and internet outages, PGL Krakow was not that bad either Just looking at the whole picture well they fkd that one up

Well, I'm like these guys with source trust me because I can't really find anything after 2 years, there is a guy that works for PGL his name is serano ( his instagram insta.serano) he posted multiple stories where he showed how they're working behind the production at eleague major. You can believe me or not it doesn't matter, but for sure PGL production is very good and what I saw from the chinese events that they hosted they evolved a lot, I think that this major will be a good one.

No they shouldnt have. Gambit was the best team at this event by far. Immortals very nearly lost to BIG already and then beat VP who were already starting their way downwards ending with their disband probably more getting carried by polish fans (which were by far the best thing about this major) into this semis. Meanwhile Gambit destroyed Fnatic and Astralis and then Immortals aswell.

#1 has a point but also you have to take into account which TO's actually want the major. Dream hack are too small, Blast probably dont want one as it is too expensive, Flashpoint just started up and ESL are probably going to get he next one.

Nah I was cheering for Gambit against Astralis. The games were great and they deserved the major win but people downplay the major win because of those factors and because the final was against Immortals

Yeah... idk 2 years without a Major i was expecting something bigger. I wouldn't mind if they kept Brasil as the hosts. They could have chosen ESL, ELeague, etc etc... but they went and chose PGL, after they made the worst Major we've ever seen back in 2017, idk but that doesn't hype me at all, i'd rather wait another year and have a Major during the Spring of 2022, but with the production value of ESL or any other, than to have a Major this year with PGL's production

Faceit London was worse than PGL in terms of delays and matches. Pretty sure Valve didn't choose ESL or ELEAGUE because of covid in Brazil and the US, where both TOs were probably offering to hold the major.

They hosted a Mortal Kombat tournament in April 2020 so I would mainly assume they disappeared because of a perceived drop in interest and a lack of opportunities to hold another tournament because ESL/IEM/Dreamhack owns 80% of the year

Cuz maybe other organizers didn't want 2 take any risks with this incertitude, especially after esl lost a lot on the rio project. Also give pgl some credit, maybe they have the experience 2 get it right now.
