he already got ranked lower for his stats because he missed a lot of tournaments. He was still arguably a top30 player
im a NAFFER but mantuu shouldve been above NAF, and xyp9x should not be in contention at all

yea, but didn't mantuu perform like crazy for the whole year against t1 opposition? i mean no one expected him to be so good yet og still went to 2 grand finals of very high prize tournaments.

jks is literally a few scrolls down on 1.13, and would be 18th on the list if he was included in "top 50". top 50 is only the top 10 teams of the year, hence the "top 50" players.

personally I am not a fan of elite event ratings (Even though I understand it from HLTV's point of view). Cuz If you add DH Open Fall and cs summit to the filter hltv.org/stats/players/7938/xantares?eve.. his rating goes from 1.03 to 1.07, and those RMR events were not any less competitive than the likes of EPL, or DH Spring. Pretty much every tier1 team other than Navi was playing in them.
Besides, he has 1.09 rating this year overall if you only include tier1/2 events, which was higher than KRIMZ and equal to dupreeh, for example. He also has a small MVP and a few more EVPs, so I think he deserved a spot around 18-20. He got robbed because of HLTV's definition of elite events, and NA bias.

those rmrs are actually regional qualifiers for major. they don't have as much importance than other elite events.
whatever way you choose, they elite events are the biggest events of the year. he don't have evps from any of the 8 big events of the year. those are far more valuable than small event evps.
kato mvp/evp is like major mvp last year which are gold level mvp/evp. other élite event mvp/evps are big event level mvp/evps of past years which are silver level mvp/evp . all other mvp/evps are bronze level mvp/evps.
elite event evp is more valuable than a normal evp. and kato evp is as much valuable as elite level mvp.this gives krimz and dupreeh advantage over xantares.who didn't had a elite level evp.

All RMR events had the same teams with other events, and teams are tryharding more in order to qualify for major. How are they less relavant?
all elite events give gold evp actually, not only katowice. But katowice probably counts like a 1.5 elite event

both events are different. most events will have same teams as majors or katowice or cologne, but majors,kato,cologne are the 4 biggest events of the year.
in fact, some events like starladder in the past had better teams in their event than majors,kato,cologne. but it didn't make them as much important.

I had mantuu in my Top 20 predictions, so it was a shocker to see him not be ranked in the Top 20 this year, and NAF-FLY actually had a pretty good 2020 considering he was one of Liquid's best players for two years straight (#6 in 2018, #7 in 2019, respectively), he SEVERELY dropped off...

Katowice's impact isnt as big as everyone thinks. Even majors didn't have that much impact in previous years lol.
Katowice maybe counts as 2 online events, that's all. NAF played bad on katowice, but still got 21th.

I would say yes and no... It's treated as the "unofficial Major" of the year and kind of unofficially counts as one regardless of the fact it isn't. It certainly helped boost Krimz's and Brollan's placings, KrimZ getting an EVP and Brollan averaging a "+9" on the event.

it's pretty silly considering EG was top1 team in the world in 2020 and didn't play against t1 opposition at all. when they did start playing against t1 opposition they quickly fell down the rankings. honestly mantuu was absolutely robbed of his spot, because this was his 'rookie' year. he played well against navi, he played well against many other t1 opponents many times and OG just climbed the rankings in a huge way.

NA cs aside the only reason mantuu would be above those 4 is if hltv said "yeahh but I feel like he's better anyway"

it's not a joke when mantuu has been consistently performing whole year against t1 opponents. don't forget that EG was top1 last year without facing any t1 opposition.

xantares deserved a spot this year imo, defo over the likes of jks and brehze this year
K0nfig was robbed, he's already been doing really well from both stats and watching games, but when you consider that he's an entry putting up good numbers against top 5 teams, and it makes you think he's been robbed even more.

+1 - What we expect out of CeRq didn't really come to pass. EG were very successful in 2020 but they were carried by Brehze; hence his Top 20 placing.
