Im 75% Croatian, the fascist movement in Croatia was seen as positive in Dalmatia from what ive heard as we are slightly more wealthy and ethnically pure than other parts of the country compared to up north and near Bosnia. We were never even conquered by the Ottomans as there were mountains separating us. From my own research on the partisan movements in Croatia it was just pre-war squabbling. The serbs were going to put us into Yugoslavia anyway

Any normal Croatian would despise Pavelić, but those who live in past and nationalism think otherwise. Basically in 4 years of the regime they ruined the picture of how the world sees croatia not to mention camps in which we killed people. People see us as of my understanding as catholic nazis. To me, real Croatian state starts from 1991. when we declared independence from Yugoslavia. I basically think its stupid to talk about this, so i hope i helped you. i dont think it morally good to worship a guy who killed others because they were not perfect. I am croat and catholic but i hate talking about these topics in general

I once went with a croatian beach towel to serbia and the police told me to put it away instantly telling me i was lucky some serbian patriot didn't beat me up yet😁
