RTX 30 GPUs limited stock until at least April
South Africa LustedSilli - HLTV.org
Speaking at the 19th Annual J.P. Morgan Tech/Auto Forum Conference, NVIDIA's chief financial officer Colette Kress said the company wasn't able to keep up with the demand of the GeForce RTX GPUs. It looks like stock will remain limited, aka hard to find in Q1. Colette Kress states: "Gaming demand is off the charts. Our overall Ampere architecture and ray tracing are really a true success. This demand has remained stronger for longer. Supply does remain tight at this time. We expect the overall channel inventories, meaning the inventories that are with our AIC partners as well as in our e-tail and retail channels will likely remain lean throughout Q1". While the company did note they are working hard each day to improve overall supply, those who want to pick up an RTX 30-series GPU won't have an easy time. Are you looking to pick up one of the 30-series GPUs, or did you already manage to get one?

I wanted a 3060, but oh well.

I actually wanted to build a highend system a few weeks ago but I couldn't buy a 3070 and ryzen 5x anywhere. I have settled with a upper middleclass system now because I didn't want to wait and I actually have some free time now to play, no idea how it is in half a year😅

Not like you can afford it based on your flag, I managed to secure 3080.

Hello, wake up, start thinking and stop judging others by your own standards. If you cannot utilize it, doesn't mean others can't. Anyways, even If I didn't "need" it I can just resell it in 2 seconds for decent profit. See, whatever way you look at it, it would be a dumb decision NOT buying it.

I said that, "unless you are some creator" using applications that would require that VRAM. But my guess is that you are a gamer and then you made a poor purchase. It's bascially a 3080 with over the top VRAM, which games can't utilize That's the thing, the resell value drops the more expensive the product is If the value drops 30 %, that value in actual money will be more with an expensive card, but I guess MAFFS m8 isnt your strong suit

1. You edited your post. 2. Your guess is wrong as I said before. 3. Resell value, hello, it arrived yesterday, still boxed, I put it back on market and get ez money. (which ofc I won't do as I bought it for myself) Please, stop making a fool of yourself.

blaming it on the demand of gaming is absolutely absurd. they don't mention people using their cards to farm crypto what so ever? In this decade crypto is the most popular it has EVER been, average people who would have NEVER bought a graphics card for gaming are buying them in the hundreds to support crypto farms....but lets pretend its just a rise in demand for gaming...LOL. crazy.

Agree with you that the short stock issue is caused also due to the miners, but the pandemic situation that made a lot of people work HO / stay home caused it as well, people building PCs like never before and it will stay like that for few months more. Besides, how do you imagine they(read nVidia) should track if the GPUs were bought specifically for a mining purposes?

A fine deal, I missed those. Then again, don't need a 2080 Ti to play CS:GO + Among Us haha

Got leaked specs on the 3050? Haven't seen that yet but thinking the 3060 is good price vs performance value.

I was able to pick up a ASUS 3080 but i had to wait outside for 3 hours before they opened at microcenter. Wasn't fun but my old card died and I really wanted the new series, its just such a good deal compared to the last generation.

They need to stop "releasing" GPUs if they aren't really released for real
