I didn't say if there is anything wrong with it, but in his position, it doesn't look like a good decision. Like, he suddenly found motivation to play a completely foreign game and pursue something in it, it sounds silly and not believable. He had it all good in CS.

no he didnt you usually think of a legend while talking get_right, he prolly got bored out of it or the motivation was lacking so why ruin your name in your game where you accomplished everything u can and play on a t2 to t3 lvl and struggle. The switch seems weird due valorant being a way more mechanical game than csgo but if he wants to why not.
I for one agree with you. gtr could most definitely grind his way back to the top in a team like GamerLegion (just an example) instead of dobbo or any other tier 3 team. Instead he chose the easy way out, just to stay on "the top", even though it meant switching to a different game. If he stayed in cs, people would still support him for the legend that he is.

How braindead are you? S1mple has more raw skill maybe, but GTR is more accomplished and played at his peak in a completely different era.

The game is constantly evolving and the great things in the past will have less and less value to the present, given how small and undeveloped the scene was when he was on the very top. I, once again, say that he won't disappear from the history books but it's far not the best decision for someone like him, in a position that he is.

Legacy means a lot, those who don't have it won't ever see that. If you have no legacy, you basically lived and disappeared like you were never there, lived for nothing and died without a notice. He has legacy though, but it won't be perfectly clean now.

He could be anything else related to CS, not necessarily a top player, like he'll be in Valorant... His well being couldn't be out of question if he, let's say, become a coach or an analyst, he would be feeling really well, still in the industry of the game he said he loves so much many times.

why would he start coaching some tier2 team? he has quiet personality and he isn't tactician himself.
"legacy" won't help him to become a good coach/manager/caster
also it's not like he can't come back to CS

he chose to compete because this is what he knows and loves
he SHOULD make money on VAL if it's possible and also brings him enjoyment
especially at this stage when washed players like Hiko are performing great in the VAL

He's at the end of his career. Do you expect him to carry? He had bad rating but it was expected. And that was at the last year of his pro play. You know every player gets worse and worse with time or you think they will be consistent all his career?

He wasn't good for some time, f0rest though, his dear fella, never slowed down and kept impressing. I only comment on his recent decision, I didn't ask of him much, never was sad of his level of play.

I mean f0rest is different breed. He practices rarely and still has sharp aim. How many other players play t1 level above age of 28. Don't list me IGL cause they need to call,their perfomance is approved if the team is doing good so.

I don't get what is your point? I do praise f0rest but the person in question here is GTR, f0rest is the GOAT of CS at this point, but GTR could have much better looking bio had he not wasted some pages of it on Valorant.

No, it looks like that in his case, there are rare cases when beard can actually benefit the looks. Like, if you have an injured face or damaged jaw. But he looked natural without the beard, he had a very cute, adorable face. Beard doesn't fit him at all. He still has those bright, shiny eyes but the beard takes that charm away, now he looks like a savage boy. And baby face isn't worse, rocking a beard while being a kid inside is what is worse.
