Water is actually warmer than the air in winter, especially in the beginning when the winter comes out of nowhere. A week ago it was -4 degrees and the sea was +6 degrees but i’m not the type who enjoys cold water. Besides, if the water is really under 0 degrees it should be ice.

Well it's not gonna turn icy instantly. And it looks like they cut that square out, so it very well could be colder than the air and in the process of refreezing after they cut it out.

u guys are crazy. i surfed in the south of brazil in winter, bad decision, my feet took like 3 hours to go back. it was like 13 degreeish water enough to fuck me up after a good 50 minutes.

I jumped in a pool when the water was probably like 5C and it felt like my skin was being stabbed all over by tiny needles, it might be different because the water was probably warmer than the air in your video (whereas the air was much warmer than the water when I jumped in the cool pool), but I can't imagine that water below 0C is very comfortable to be in
