What would be your dream job ?
Mine is being a prosecutor.I'm curently working on realising that dream.It's hard to become one but I have couple of conections here and there so I might make it.
If not then being an attorney is just fine for me as well.

Mental illness, friend. As soon as I was diagnosed. I instantly wanted to pursue psychology so I could assist those who were suffering just like me.

Predominantly and officially: OCD (intrusive thoughts), anxiety disorder, paranoia/paranoid delusions, panic attacks and manic depression; unofficially and undiagnosed: Autism/Asperger's.
I have the necessary qualifications to pursue psychology but I opted not to because I refused to be paid for what I believe should be free for everybody. Granted, I realise even psychologists need to make a living but I didn't want to charge others for a service that I personally believe should be free. So I went with IT instead while pursuing psychology as a hobby.

You are alone most of the year, you get all supplies, don't even need to go to grocery stores and talk to people, also nice scenery and the noise of the waves hitting the rocks. But on the other hand such a job requires good physical conditions to maintain lighthouse. If there is an electricity and internet-signal i am in, if no, well, perhaps i would chose something different, basically any job that does not require social interactions.
I could have chosen any IT work from home, but it's too boring imo.

I have a friend that always dreamt of becoming a doctor in a emergency unit, to help people and be a hero, until he actually joined med school and realized how much he would have to deal with infection, blood, poop, piss and rotten dead body parts on a daily basis..

I may be lost on the translations, but he wanted to be a paramedic/first responder of Emergency Rooms - He lives in SP (biggest city here, 11 million people) which is a pretty 'goreful' city for those kind of professionals.
He ended up finishing the course but decided to become a Professor (i think he specialized in pediatry)

Musician? You compose music, you do what you enjoy, you love playing, and love music, a match made in heaven, right?
But then you need to find a label that believes you, then labels give you deadlines and you don't know how to close an album, then covid happens and you can't do a live show for two years straight, you don't have motivation/inspiration after your sophomore album etc...

Well it's not an attitude.
I love listening music, I'm doing right now while I type to you, I do it while I run or at the gym, I do it when I'm on a bus/metro/train etc.
but I wouldn't like to be a music critic.
I just want to listen to music, but the one I like and I don't want to have deadlines to write a review, or starting to write after coming home from a live show, or giving every album a "rating" because I'm terrible at it etc
I want to play cs, but not 10 hours a day, the same maps over and over

So seek variety. Combine the two and become a game/music critic. Add movies to the mix if that's up your alley while you're at it.
Claiming there's no dream job just because you try your hardest to find a flaw in everything is the easy way out.

I'm not tring to find a flaw, I'm pointing out responsabilities, obligations and problems that come with every job.
Instead of hating your job every single day like a burger king worker, you will hate it just a couple of day or weeks a year, but If I have to dream there has to be no job involved.

Well I get your point.
Being a prosecutor is a great job if you want a criminal you are prosecuting to go for your head if you don't accept to get bribed.
But that's exactly what a dream job is.Willing to go over any potential hardships to fulfill your dream.
There is no such thing as dream job. In reality you just will grow to hate it sooner or later.

You have to work.
Might as well find something that will make you happy, once you do, your life becomes much better.

unfortunately, people in my county, especially young ones do not recognize the work of a police officer and see them as villains. All they know about police officers is coming from bad news from newspapers or web-news, if police officer did something good they think it's just exception to the rule
