You know he was the best in 1.6 before he left as well right? Did that skill just disappear into go? I hate the idea that everyone was just magically horrible at the beginning of go, the meta was unevolved but that doesn't mean everyone was worse it just means the game was played differently. Put modern day Astralis or Vitality and them in to the 2013 version of the game vs the 2013 NiP. NiP would win, by a lot. It wouldn't even be close. But put it the other way around and NiP would obviously lose. It doesn't just go one way, it was just a different game and different meta. The players weren't worse they were just different. And GeT_RiGhT was so far ahead, more far ahead then any player has any been in any version of the game then the competition. There wasn't a player that far ahead when source came out as a "new" game only with go and only GTR.

I'm considering all factors, where it looks like you're just considering one at a time. And btw, I think gtr's peak was higher than s1mples, but even if it wasn't it's silly to say "well if its peak its s1mple, well if its length of form is f0rest, well if its first its neo ect ect." All factors need to be taken into consideration, not just one.

The "adaption phase" was like 4 years? GTR was better than f0rest and everyone else for much longer than just the bridge between 1.6 and go.
