funny how the second is good, but completely overshadowed by the original so seems like it was actually shit
2021-01-19 14:15
As far as i like original, the second one rather feels like holistic movie for me. Sometimes i asked myself a question "Wait, what is this movie about?" during blade runner 1982 watching. But Vangelis music incomparable to Zimmer's one.

Admittedly It has been a few years since i watched newer version but i still remember the original being leaps and bound ahead. I didn't really feel the lack of direction that you felt and instead i watched the film discovering the direction the further i watched it. And yes the original sound track is probably my favourite from any film and Vangelis killed it!
2021-01-19 15:26
sure sure, however I kind of enjoy the new one. It's not a bad movie by any means, but if you compare it to og BR...
2021-01-19 19:54
thought i was the only one whos fav movie is blade runner 2nd one is equally good i think, and the visuals are 50x better

I’d have to disagree, the first has the unbelievably good sound track plus the charming 80’s sci-fi aesthetic that I love. Plus there’s just something different about Harrison Fords performance

idk i think ryan gosling is pretty on par with harrison ford, and ford in the second one was also exceptional. the aesthetics of the two are completely different and i think theyre both stunning in different ways. i dont understand the "replicant inequality" or revolution thing at the end though

Maybe some scenes haven't aged well, sure, but saying the movies are DOGSHIT it's a bit strong when you are referring to the world-wide standard of medieval/magical films lmao. GoT, for example, would've loved to have half of the quality this trilogy has. Fucking series is just a glorified MTV red-neck drama lmao.

GoT was better than LotR though, excluding the last 2 seasons. Seasons 1-4 probably the best that TV/film industry has ever produced.

Oh, I can see that you at least 20 y.o. This is good. No country for old men is really good movie. What about the ending? It is really confused. The Bell's dream is about the scene where Moss faced Chigurh in the hotel. But what the author wanted to say with this, still Idk.

Personally, I always enjoy watching Rush Hour 1 for some laughs. Great blend of action and comedy. Fantasy/Adventure wise, can never go wrong with some LoTR. Action/Suspense? Kill Bill or Inception. Such great films.
