Why are Conservatives so outraged Big Tech leans left? Anyone but them could've seen this from a mile away. Red areas tend have awful education systems and are generally anti-intellectual (football and beer types of people), then they're surprised the majority of computer programmers tend to lean left (or at least lean socially left wing). The solution to "Big Tech Censorship" is an investment in education.

Another degenerate who thinks that hes smart because he has linked a research paper by some random org. If your solution to mass deplatforming, doxxing, censorship and demonization is " investment in education." then talking to you is pointless because youre a usual indoctinated, infantile degenerate who doesnt see the real issue here. Calls me a degenerate, but doesn't even bother to read the research paper and consider its implications. Or you have and realized I'm correct based on empirical data, but instead of admitting you're wrong like a man or arguing the point you call ME the degenerate here. Some irony here man. You can't force a company to offer a service to people they think are in violation of their TOS, which you agree to upon signing up for the service. The obvious and logical long term solution to this is to educate your side to the point where you're not being left behind technologically and can fully support your own spaces.

Am I supposed to be impressed that youve tailored your argument around the research paper of once again, a random fucking org? All while ignoring the points that are shared by sane people on both ends of the political spectrum and that are way beyond your typical left vs right. "You can't force a company to offer a service to people they think are in violation of their TOS, " says the blind degenerate. Heres a quick snippet of what youre trying to not see because youre a degenerate: youtube.com/watch?v=1kEyx6R6CX0 Now do tell me, does what they say in the video break Twitters TOS? Nah it doesnt, just like BLM chimping out for months at a time, is a fiery but mostly peaceful protest while the 7h capitol protest is an act of terrorism. Twitter has 0 consistency in following their own rules, neither does facebook, but a clear polical pattern can be seen even by mentally handicapped people. Imagine having Twitter and Facebook as de facto publishers, as if its not enough that your typical news media is controlled. I also love how the narrative on sites like reddit has changed from "big evil corps" to "silence everyone I dont agree with". Braindead progressive millenials and zoomers siding with "capitalistic monsters" because its convenient for them. Just like its convenient for you to grasp to that one research paper youve based your entire pointless argument on. Fucking pseudointellectual degenerates ":)"

They're a private enterprise, if you're in violation of their TOS they're in their grounds to terminate you. If you feel they're selectively enforcing their TOS, then their product is inferior in that regard and someone should replace it since it's a free market. Once again you're calling me a degenerate, but you feel entitled to someone else's platform and/or services. The irony. I am offering a difficult, but practical and reliable road to build Conservative spaces and maintain Conservative spaces. And Pew Research isn't a random org lmao.

It is funny how this guy thinks that college education has to do anything with intelligence. It's more about money nowadays and the people from the red areas don't have enough money to send them or their kids to study in those universities. Universities are full of idiots. In my opinion whilst conservatism attracts total idiots, it also attracts geniuses like the greatest scientist in computer science - John von Neumann. Whilst the modern liberal is of average intelligence.

They confuse education with technical training. What schools tend to provide aside from all the ideological gibberish is a technical apprentice program, much like the guilds of old. Real education is pursued by the individual on its own and it was the original purpose of the Medieval Universities.

I think there are two things: first their growing mingling with government agencies and bureaucracy, which tends to pull those companies towards defense of the status quo; this is achieved through subsidies, grants and joint programs (governments saw the value of data mining from a mile away). Second is the generational shift from old school libertarian minded nerds to programmers formed in this new hyper ideological environment.

It is just mind-boggling how you can totally believe something that comes from "credible" sources and close your eyes to everything else and claim it is fake even if a lot of it historically came out as true. At the end of the day there is nothing intelligent about going to universities, it's basically bot training and you are limited to the training you are given, in otherwords they're only giving you knowledge that they want you to give for mass profits especially in the medical industry. Yeah, but that doesnt necessarily mean its because of the education itself. If you look for the education in US and universities, then you will find out that students are not allowed to have a different point of view. Otherwise you are called all those stupid names leftists created. What liberals did, is that they focused on young people. Thats why young people at universities believe in these things. Not beacuse there's some scientificall 100% proof that they are right. Also the biggest problem in the society is, that everyone, or a lot of people think that they are right and they dont want to change their opinion because they would look stupid or something. And if someone has a different opinion than he is stupid. But why? If you believe that you are right and someone is wrong, you dont make them believe what you believe by saying he is an idiot. But by explaining him why you think you are right and he is wrong. Man I hate America. So many stupid people there...

You're generalization of red areas being "nonintellectual" is as retarded of a take as "all leftists are communists. You believing that people needing to go to college to have a valid political opinion is beyond mega retarded as people choose what they believe based off of personal experiences. While there are issues with misinformation that is the FAILING of our general education system along with universities as well for forcing students to just believe what they are told when something is shoved in their face. Generalizations are beyond a dumb way to make an argument.

It's not a generalization. Right wing states have worse education systems, this is a measurable fact. There are incredibly intelligent Conservatives and I don't think they're inherently dumber than liberals personally, but Conservative people in STEM tend to be in the minority due to right wing areas not having the best education systems.

This is because red states are mostly rural areas where state and federal governments like to spend money on public transportation and other unnecessary stuff rather than putting money into general education. It all goes to cities within the state. I'm from a small town in PA, and I'm going to PSU as a STEM major. All of the funding from our state government goes to Pittsburgh, Philly and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for public transportation and construction. While I recognize they need a bigger piece of the pie as thats most of the population, they get everything and everywhere else in PA is left to fend for themselves while we see various tax increases every year. There are reasons why people who don't live in cities vote red, its because they're getting fucked by liberal/left leaning government and cities taking all the budget for their state
2021-01-20 00:16

I see your point, but look at it from the government's perspective. Would you rather build a new road in an urban area with a high population or build a new road in a West Pennsylvania small town where barely anyone will use it for the same price? Not like the cost of asphalt is gonna change due to location. This isn't due to liberal vs conservative politics. Once you're given a cost-benefit spreadsheet it's very hard to justify building stuff outside the city to a committee. It's definitely not ideal, which is why I want Joe Biden to focus on infrastructure.

The coast of building that road in rural PA is most likely significantly less than building on in Philly. Once again I realize the need is greater in Philly, its just the fact that cities is where all the budget goes, while my hometown high school has to cut expenses every year (teachers, food, resources) as since the Obama Admin the schools around my hometown continue to die. All this while road taxes, gas taxes and cost of living goes up. Once again, part of the reason why my area votes red
2021-01-20 00:52

Why do you feel like Obama is responsible for this? If anything Republicans are gonna be the last people to invest in infrastructure on a national level. States are always gonna focus on cities since they have limited resources and need to look at it on a cost-benefit type of basis. The thing is plenty of inner city schools are run down and underfunded, and their asphalt streets have been ground into gravel over the years. The entire country is run down. We need to stop comparing who's getting which scraps where and work towards a long term investment in national infrastructure and education.

Didn't say Obama is solely responsible for this. I said schools have been going downhill since right before he got into office. Ever since the housing crisis the schools in my area are dying. Nobody has made an effort to fix it. That is currently my point, not that the Repubs/Dems would fix it over the other. I am saying that it is a side effect of cities being prioritized in my state specifically. This prioritization is why i know people in rural PA vote republican generally, along with less taxes being promised since the jobs do not pay as well in rural communities as opposed to urban.
